Expectations For Season 2015/16

With the new season not too long away and some signings made, what are the general expectations going into the new season?

 

Looking back on a similar thread this time last year the general consensus was that we should be looking at top six minimum with a top four finish a real possibility as well as a decent cup run.

 

Personally I was looking for top six with a cup run being a bonus. This season anything above 11th will do me, and i'm not really fussed by the cups.

Mid Table is what we should aim for after last season, get the players the manager wants in and hope they gel well. Cup is always a disappointment, so not expecting much. Prove me wrong Motherwell.

Disagree completely re the cups. I really hope we make more of an impact in them next season. If nothing else, it seems to be an important part of our revenue.

Top 10 with a decent few cup runs. Avoiding relegation and allowing the new players to gel into the team IB wants, then onwards and upwards from there.

All I can ask for in the league is 10th or better after last season with the team hopefully playing well in flashes. Oh and getting the goals against tally down from towards 2 a game.

 

League cup as its seeded I think we'll get stung in the 3rd round. Although if we get anyone at home fancy our chances.

 

Scottish Cup - By now we'll be playing quite well and go on a run. A return to hampden awaits

Not getting at anyone in particular but if you aim for mediocrity then that's just what you will achieve.

Perhaps not fully engaging into the sprit in which the question has been asked but I think at this stage of the close-season with several "unknowns" on board, more players to come and lots of changes across other clubs in the division it's tricky call to say what I'd "expect" will happen.

 

If you'd asked what I hope will happen then a top four finish and one of the cups will do nicely thanks!

I expected struggling last year and this year finishing 5th or 6th. But with good cup runs and outside chance of silverware. Surely we are due a good cup run.

As always, staying out of relegation bother and a half-decent run in a cup will do me. (Which, after last season, would also be a considerable improvement, and that's all you can really ask for from one season to the next.)

I have no expectations but I would greatly appreciate not going through another season like the one we just had ever again!!

 

Nowhere near relegation and a decent run in one of the cups would be acceptable.

No expectations for the season yet. Important though that the squad gels together quickly enough to handle a tough opening 5/6 games. Credit to Baraclough and the club for getting so many new faces over the line so quickly.

A good start to get us out of the relegation picture early, and a good run in one of the cups assuming a favorable draw.

 

With our league it is a toss up who finishes 3-10, as it comes down to form and injuries, with the quality being pretty much the same. Hamilton and Patrick for bottom 2.

The way things are going there will be a real buzz in the dressing room and in the stands! half the problem last year was confidence ! Top 4 a cup final day back to the days we have become acustom to over the last 6/7 years
