Play the game, not the occasion

There's only one way to beat them, that's round the back

Keep it tight early doors

No regrets, don't leave anything on the pitch

Work the keeper

Right, that's the cliché bollocks out the way. Time to set off for the Theatre of Dreams

COME ON YE 'WELL!!!

Is it just me that finds that impossible to read that without visualising John Barnes swaying and singing the words? Very World in Motion-esque!

Based on our painful inconsistency, today should be an easy 3 points! Especially against a team that are probably banking on today being an 'easy' win for them.

Could be the perfect game to give our season a jump start. Fingers crossed anyway!

Aberdeen are so strong down the wide areas - Logan & McGinn, Shinnie & Hayes, and they have a nailed down goalscorer in Adam Rooney. Aberdeen also didn't have a midweek game which will surely give them a fitness advantage in the latter stages.

Going to be very difficult today, would not be unhappy with a point but we'll see how it goes.

another goal lost to a set piece. why do we bother?? carbon copy of last season it seems with regards to the defence. we might be better going forward but the same mistakes at the back is costing us yet again. We've lost a hell of alot of soft goals this season already.

And most of them stupid or avoidable.

Disappointed to lose that, we certainly didn't deserve to. Night and day compared to Wednesday.

McDonald was involved in everything, Moult is starting to look like a player, and Thomas did well when he came on.

First goal was a freak cross/shot that deceived everyone and trundled in. Second I couldn't see but there were lots of shouts for a foul on the keeper, especially since it was 2 minutes after McManus was penalised for jumping into an Aberdeen player in their box.

Aberdeen didn't look like the world beaters they've been made out to be. Definitely a case of being unlucky rather than soundly beaten.

Johnson had a poor second half. Moult looks like he could turn out to be a quality signing, shades of Chris Porter about him, hopefully he gets a goal to his name soon.

I disagree. I thought we struggled to break them down at the back and there was hardly a plethora of clear cut chances which we created.

Aberdeen's goals may have been soft but these are the kind of mistakes which we are making and you cannot afford to that if you want to find yourself higher up in the league.

The only statistic which matters is the final score and conceding 6 goals in 3 matches with only one reply is highly concerning.
