Infamous Wee Grafter
Who is the money on for next Motherwell manager then? I think we should go in-house and appoint Steelboy - he's clearly chompin' at the bit to get into football management and the chance to use his in-depth football knowledge to transform to the club on & off the field. I know his natural positivity won't be to everyone's cup of tea but I for one will be contacting Sky Bet for his odds later today. Flow, if you're reading, you know it makes sense, unless of course, you're worried about appointing such a football maverick to the club. No doubt, he'll be replacing you within days of joining.
Shotts Well Fan
My Labrador Archie is up for the gig. Lovely nature and knows fuck all about football except getting kicked on a saturday night when we loose. Probably about the same if not better than Bara. 1991
I would go for George Burley but there is prob no chance of that happening
David
I'm thinking that Craggs may be the only guy who can get the players who seem to have downed tools to actually try a wee bit, as I figure he's quite friendly with some of them. Jacol
Peter Houston would be a decent candidate, I thought he did a decent job at United and he's worked well at Falkirk with a limited budget.

Al B
Im up for that. This club should be all about achieving things that we haven't done in the past, and being thumped 7-0 by County is definitely on that list.

David
He could use what he learned from Gannon. This whole situation is eerily similar to the Gannon scenario. I get that the buck stops with the manager and all that, but the players seem to be getting off lightly in a lot of cases here. They're the ones on the park. sbcmfc
It's quite amusing, as whoever you suggest will immediately get a response along the lines of... "Fuck no" "Anybody but him" "Not that clown" Etc etc.

The players should be playing for us (and themselves). The senior ones in particular should be leading the way. Having said that, if it's true that the tactics are intentionally to hoof long balls, then that needs to stop. I'm OK giving time to a gaffer to implement new tactics and style of play. Not OK with route 1.

Playing devils advocate here,is bara saying hoof it up the park,or is he saying ,spring the guys with pace and hit teams on the break.Either way its not working,so if we haven't the players to execute it we need to change tactics
orange county dosser
Harri Kampmann.Track record of clearing out the dead wood is excellent. He could start with the charlatan at the back......McManus, and work through the rest that need to call it a day....Hammell, Lasley etc.*tin hat at the ready*
dmsd
Totally agree about McManus , law as well ! Taylor and maybe lasley but the first 3 should be punted waste of a jersey
Infamous Wee Grafter
What's the chances of this topic being required today..... It's almost like I knew. fizoxy
Does McManus have coaching badges? Considering we've been signing his pals and ex teammates, maybe he's next in line.
David
Am I the only person who would actually prefer that the club give Craggs some time to see how he does before rushing out to appoint someone else? It could be the case that we have our next manager already.
Maxi
Normally I'd say manager with English contacts, but after Baraclough, I'm not so sure.
joewarkfanclub
Id certainly be happy to give Craggs a shot while we scout options. If he turns things around dramatically it could be his to lose. He and Robinson are close so they should have a good understanding of each other.....
