Just win. That is all. 1-0 or 10-0 just get the three points and send them over the road with their tails between their legs.

In a sense I was pleased to see both McGhee and Flow when speaking to Ripley refer to, or at least attempt to put some importance on the derby element of the fixture.

Clearly for us a game against Accies isn't and never will be akin to a derby game against Airdrie but I do wonder at times when its obvious that Accies fans and their team treat games against us as the most important of their season, if that underplaying the importance has contributed to our desperate performances against them because we've rarely come close to matching their intensity and desire to win.

So perhaps no bad thing in my mind that the fixture is being talked up at Fir Park.

Interesting point Andy P and maybe something in it.

For me I don't really get that worked up when we play Accies or Airdrie. I just don't see them as 'proper' derbies/rivalries as in the most part since I started watching us in the early 90s we haven't really played them regularly. More relevantly we have obviously played Accies more but still does not really do it for me.

That said I would like to dish out a proper humping.

Probably go with the same team. Can't argue with the way we are going about business. Would be nice to have a cushion with 20 to go and maybe see Thomas and Faddy.

I had this conversation with someone the other day. I think there is definitely something in this, added to the fact that no matter how often they finish ahead of us we'll always be seen as the big team in Lanarkshire, gives them some sort of underdog mentality that seems to fire them up maybe more than our players (and fans, frankly). It's their big game, it's not ours...
