weeyin
I used to enjoy the time when you came back from you summer holidays and read about the changes to your team in a small paragraph on the inside pages of the sports section.

Kmcalpin
Hoping the gap in midfield means that Campbell gets promoted from the U20s, he was a standout in the cup final win. I too hope he manages to step up and gets some first team game time but we can't expect him to be a central midfield mainstay week in week out at this stage. superward
Who is the big lad to the left of Hammell at 30-35 secs in? Coach or a player/trialist...big bit of a boy either way.
Del_Superwell
Is it not that Jacob Blyth guy who we signed last week?
CrosshillWell
We are so over subscribed in central defense and with McGee playing an untried Hall ahead of Laing and Kennedy last season then bringing in another central defender days ago, you'd think there will be changes. Once again, no replacement on Hammell or Lasley. We shall see how Tait is ahead of Law at right back.
superward
Is it not that Jacob Blyth guy who we signed last week? Aye you might be right. Bigger than I thought if so. Edit: It's Dean Brill.
capt_oats
There's Scott Burns confirming Dean Brill has signed and the club are hopeful of Hammell signing a 1 year deal in the next 24 hours. https://twitter.com/ScottBurns75/status/747450916719165440 https://twitter.com/ScottBurns75/status/747451347457409024 Brill confirmed by club: http://www.motherwellfc.co.uk/2016/06/27/goalkeeper-dean-brill-pens-one-year-deal/
Kat
Quite pleased with the signing of Brill, always impressed by him at Ict - shame about his injury set back the last year or so, hopefully keeps Samson on his toes.
Del_Superwell
If we can get Brill back to the form he showed at ICT then i'm pretty pleased with that signing. Certainly talked up highly by the ICT supporters.

GazzyB
Great interview with McGhee, get the feeling that the players who have done a pre-season under McGhee before will be absolutely dreading it!

Del_Superwell
McFadden was in at Fir Park today and using the gym so I'm assuming he must still be doing his rehab from his ankle injury before doing some sort of pre season training.
Ya Bezzer!
We are still pretty short in central midfield, think we need at least 2 in. Also if McDonald is gone, we'll need another striker. That gives a 22 man squad with two players in every position. Ya Bezzer!
McFadden hasn't signed and he's not a midfielder. And it's Richard Tait not Paul. But your general point holds... Well he's been offered a contract and he's at the club doing physio so I think he'll be there next season. I also think McFadden will play in midfield, if he does play. He's not going to play wide or upfront with the personnel we have and I don't see why he can't play a similar role to Pearson supporting the forwards, playing just behind them and getting into the box. Yeah, I keep thinking Paul Tait, must be one in football somewhere!
