something else
With Hateley and Hammell, we had the two best full backs in the country, at that time. You have got to be joking .
steelboy
Marvin has been hearing and reading pish about being a million pound player all summer and probably has his heart set on living closer to home and being significantly better off come September. Now reality has bitten him in the arse in the form of not getting a kick against journeymen Dundee players and the transfer request is a final straw clutch. one m in motherwell
Let's all start guessing who the ex player who plays in marvins position is. I'll go for Andy Roddie (the only other person to have said this is that ginger excuse for a manager) Glorious return for step over!
steelboy
Paterson is a person trainer now. He's probably fitter than when he was slowmo-ing down the wing for us.
one m in motherwell
All joking aside, the transfer request is a strange turn of events. We've made no secret of the fact he's available for transfer if the right offer comes in - the only thing might be that we've turned down a bid from someone he wants to move to? We've made no secret of the fact he's available for transfer if the right offer comes in - the only thing might be that we've turned down a bid from someone he wants to move to? Does it not have an affect on the money he's due from a transfer? I was under the impression that if a player requested a transfer and it was granted he lost the right to any portion of any fee the club would get. So by asking for a transfer he's making it easier for the club to accept a lower bid - and he'll make up for the lost lump sum by a hefty wage increase. mfc
the transfer request shouldn't mean anything,if the club dont get the money there looking for then he goes nowhere and if he wants too go in the huff then he shouldn't train with the first team or be involved in any games. wellowell
This won't happen if we don't get a decent offer he will stay and I'm sure he will knuckle down and get the form back that will get him a transfer come January as we should not accept just any offer because he wants to leave
mfc
How would that help us? How would that help him? if he wants too leave us haggis why should we be looking too help him.it will be interesting too see what happens if he does stay, remember pearson got it tight for asking too leave the first time he was with us.hopefully the club stand firm and don't just cave in just because were heading towards the end of the transfer window. We've been trying to flog him since practically when we bought him. It's why we laid out hard cash in the first place.
capt_oats
Good statement. While there's an element of "telt!" about it it's fair enough. It's a perfectly reasonable stance to take. He's available and for sale if a club wants to come in and match MFC's valuation.
mio
Cue the "undisclosed fee" from a League 1 team being accepted. There's no way we'll get any more than £250k now.

mio
For a player who wants away i'm guessing we'll cash out quick as apose to paying a guy a wage who's hearts not in it!! I may be wrong but we'll wait and see.
Big Wispy Flossy
We have already rejected 500k from Oxford am sure No chance - we were offered just more than £200k with add ons to £250k.
