sbcmfc
Before I'd even parked my car on Saturday I was aware of what appeared to be an increased police presence around the ground. I'm not really sure there was any need? I could see a member of my family (you can choose your friends....) in the south stand, was texting a colleague who was also in there before and after the game. I'm able to live, work, socialise and generally co-exist with these people on a day to day basis. However can we be trusted to share a pavement on the way back to our cars after a football match? Apparently not... Joking aside, the police do probably have a bit of self interest, in maintaining an apparent need for them to be there. I don't know if they'd go as far as to create trouble, but sometimes it seems that way.

superward
I know a guy in the police. This was deemed a high risk game due to the last time we met, the pitch incursion and the few confrontations around the stadium that happened. Thats why there was a larger presence. But why they decided to hem anyone in seems a bit silly.
daver
The club have now made an apology for the police approach at the end of the match and are looking to find a new way for fans to leave Category C matches. Simple - keep the opposing (Rangers or Celtic) fans in while we leave. That's what they would do at their home grounds. http://www.motherwellfc.co.uk/2016/08/18/well-to-launch-fan-egress-plan/
Kmcalpin
The club have now made an apology for the police approach at the end of the match..... Yes, I picked upon this but wasn't sure whether the club was apologising for its approach or that of the Police. If it was for the latter then that august organisation should apologise for itself.
