Dezz
"a blonde Josh Maggenis" almost sounds a tad generous now. Particularly as Magennis pinged in a hatrick for charlton today!
Yoshi-1991
On a related topic, I see Lee Erwin is top league goal scorer at Oldham.....with 2 goals in 21 matches. History will vindicate me. I was often shot down for being part of the "over rated" brigade.
Lobey_Dosser
Erwin has plenty of ability and has the physical attributes to play at a decent level. The issue was always going to be keeping his head out the clouds when he got his move to Leeds. Bring him back for the Rangers double header. weeyin
Louis is going to take care of them in the double header - assisted by Skippy.

History will vindicate me. £450,000 for a guy who, really, only had about 1/3 of a good season once him and McDonald clicked? Great business. There's no question he's got potential to be a good player, but I reckon he's too much of a balloon to realise it.

Gadgey
Particularly as Magennis pinged in a hatrick for charlton today! I was at the valley to watch Magennis' hatrick. They bloody love him there. Watt on the other hand is not.
superward
Erwin had/has a lot of promise. But he needed to play regular first team football after his first season with us. He finished the playoff season with us fairly strongly and the last thing he should have done is went somewhere he wasn't going to play week in week out. He won't regret the bank balance right now but may regret it long term.

He was a stick on to be the guy leading the line every week for us. Play a good season and move on at the end of that. But, obviously, money talks.
Yassin
Worked out well enough for us tbf, Erwin could maybe still develop into a good striker at this level, but we lost a raw player with potential in return for a six figure sum and a much better player in Moult.
Ya Bezzer!
"a blonde Josh Maggenis" almost sounds a tad generous now. Josh Magennis was obviously deeply hurt by the comparison because he got a lot better after I said that.

weeyin
Is 25 too young to join Grimsby? I'll never understand these UEFA Cross Border transfer rules.

sbcmfc
I got the impression with his departure from Dundee United that he had some "issues". Was a decent player for us, seemed to be a bit of a bomb scare at Tannadice though. Good luck to the boy.

Mind back in the day there was a football trivia thread with questions like this? Anybody up for starting that again? It was always a good read.
