Former Motherwell Fc Players Thread

The best thing about Alan Campbell is his attitude.

He may not feature much for Luton this season if the manager prefers other players. But he wont let it get him down. He will focus on the next challenge and take it from there.

I liken him very much to John McGinn. I remember one match at Easter Road wee Al had him in his pocket.

McGinn was always a good player, but I never thought for a minute he would captain a Premiership club and be Scotlands most important player.

Not saying wee Al can reach that level, but there are parallels there and it wont be for the lack of trying.

100% agree with you there but I do think that the manager doesn’t see him as part of his long term plans going by the way he played him last season.
On a side note someone asked earlier about his wage compared to DT, from memory I think DT was reported to be on £10K at Celtic and AC was reported to be on £6K when he joined Luton but I think now that they’re in the premiership his wages will top DT’s although I don’t know by how much.

Been following Kev's league form with FC Groningen

Three starts in his first three games.

Game 1: 3 shots, 0 on target, 0 goals (in a 4 - 1 win)

Game 2: 2 shots, 1 on target, 0 goals (in a 1 - 0 loss)

Game 3: 4 shots, 1 on target, 0 goals (in a 0 - 0 draw)

Currently sitting 7th.

I wonder if they were like the ones on here and said he was rotten before he played a game.

But (van Veen) has failed to score in his first three matches and revealed he's been a target for the fans' fury. Van Veen said: "I've received a lot of negative messages from supporters on my phone, but I don't run away from that. A striker has to score goals and I haven't done that yet. We all have to work together to make it better.
