weeyin
I'm unimpressed (but not surprised) with his zero goals for Kille and St Mirren. No comment on the charges, and we need to keep it that way on here to avoid any potential legal issues.
wellgirl
I personally think there's a view that if someone is charged they are guilty. It's the complete opposite in law. You are innocent until found guilty in courtĀ Ā
weeyin
We want to stay on the right side of the law here people, so the less KVV trial related chat the better, until everything is resolved.
MJC
Iāve said this before about KvV, we got the best of him during his time with us especially in his second season. He was happy, scoring goals nearly every week and playing with confidence.Ā Ā A purple patch for a journeymen? Maybe it was but if it was then what a purple patch it was and we were the ones who benefited from it.Ā Ā He moved on that summer and has never been able to recreate that form and hasnāt settled in a team like he did with us since. Why that is can be down to any number of things but I think itās safe to say that he was good for us and we were good for him.

Robbo was charged and went to trial for allegedly assaulting his partner and was found not guiltyĀ Harry Paton was also rinsed all over the media because of allegations made by his ex partner - and that didn't go to trialĀ I grew up with domestic violence. I'm lucky to have my mum. But one thing I won't do is brand people guilty before a verdictĀ This is just me speaking generallyĀ Ā I'm struggling to find the post where people said anything to the contrary. I will give Kettlewell credit in that he transformed KVV as he gave him a strike partner. During Hammell's spell KVV'S attitude in my opinion was terrible.Ā Will never forget his performance v st Johnstone where he was shocking.Ā Ā
johnstone
Kevin Van Veen was absolutely box office. Incredible season with us, right up there with probably the best striker performance in one season in the SPL. His goal versus St Johnstone where he put two boys on their arse was exceptional.Ā
Alpha1886
Link to article on Mika. Hope it works! Wish he could have stayed longer. Also heard Ross McCormack rating Chris Porter as the best CF he had played with. Agree? https://www.dailynewsupdate.com.ng/arsenal-have-been-criticized-for-making-the-biggest-transfer-mistake-of-the-decade-after-selling-mika-biereth-to-sk-sturm-graz-in-july-2024/?fbclid=IwZXh0bgNhZW0CMTEAAR2e8yZ2mQUCcNje89DBMo5LgAsb5hWbO_yVomn6cEksF8jey6raKsstAM4_aem_58mg_m_Hzpct_AMkMZ4hgwĀ
weeyin
Porter was very good and another example of needing a bit of time to find his feet. A good fit for our team at the time, and the Scottish league. And a nice bit of business when we sold him on. He was also one of those players we like to sign who had a record of injury problems, but in this case the risk paid off. The fact that Levein had knocked him back for Dundee Utd was just a bonus. Not in the Coyne, Pettigrew, Moult, van Veen, Higdon bracket, but not far off. Would have been great if he stayed longer, but it was ridiculous he was even an option for us. Even as a loan he should have been at an EPL club. Could add StJohn, McBride et al.Ā Think McCormack was commenting only on those he played alongside and from his point of view of Porter being the best at bringing others into play. Recall fondly second-half of 2-2 cup-tie at Tynecastle (post Phil) when Porter and McCormack ripped Hearts a new one.
