Yassin
Aye I liked Bowman but it's not as if he didn't get a chance here. The fact he's scoring goals at a weaker level doesn't mean we were all missing something over his three seasons here or that he was ever likely to suddenly break out into a goalscoring spell, it's possible for players to improve or simply fit in better in a different environment. He tried really fucking hard and scored a screamer at Tynie but I'd be surprised if anyone seriously thinks he's a better football player than Long or Watt.
GazzyB
Loved Bowman, and his h*n forearm smashing antics were incredible, but he wasn't very good at all in my opinion.
steelboy
I think with Bowman he hadn't really done enough to justify a new contract so it was better to part ways. The only problem is that Robinson and Burrows forgot they were meant to replace him so we are up shit creek. He definitely improved during his time here so I wouldn't rule out that he has stepped up another level since leaving.

Bowman was at his best alongside Moult, for a while they were excellent but he was never the same after Moult left. Limited ability but a hard worker and for me the right move. The problem we have when players like Bowman and Main keep getting mentioned is why neither were replaced with the right player, that’s not long and never will be. Not sure why we keep signing wide men, guess they are easier to find than a good central striker but hopefully Watt turns out to be the player we need, he’s got ability, can hold the ball up, and is the right age, fingers crossed. ropy
Bowman loved to get the ball and wheel away from goal, why?

My father, who has not long relocated to the south west of England and got a season ticket at Exeter, would concur with that. Chasing promotion they may be but apart from Nicky Law and one of their wide players, whose name escapes me, he isn't massively impressed and more often than not his post-match summary will be along the lines of "pish", "dire", "dross" and so on. Yeh, we all know Main is no world beater but he’s showing us exactly the type of player we’re missing...... Let’s hope Watt can give us a bit of that, plus a goal or two! weeyin
James Scott's Season is Over From The Herald, Hull confirm Scott is out for the remainder. Quote Hull City head coach Grant McCann has confirmed that Scotland Under-21 international James Scott's season is over due to an ankle injury. The 19-year-old forward sustained the injury in his first training session with the club after moving to the Tigers in a £1.5 million deadline day transfer from Motherwell at the end of last month. Scott will also need to undergo an operation to mend the problem and is likely to be sidelined for up to four months. McCann said: “James will not play again this season unfortunately. He’s going to need an operation. “We’re gutted for the boy because he’s only just come to the football club. We’ve got the reports back after seeing the specialist and he’s going to need an operation just to tidy his ankle up a little bit. It’s a gutting one for us all. “He’ll be back for pre-season and it’ll be like having the new player he is again.

Well any money that we were going to get for Scott playing a certain number of game is just going to have wait that little bit longer. Injuries can happen at anytime or anyplace ……… Speedy recovery for the boy

steelboy
Another goal for Murphy. He's ruining any chance of being at Fir Park next season. Cut it out Jamie!

steelboy
He was always tracking back in his first spell. He would be our best player by a mile. We would only have got him if he left Ibrox with question marks over him but no chance of that now.
Lobey_Dosser
Delighted to see Murphy prove the doubters wrong in such style. Sadly, his form does rule out any chance we have of signing him,
gee
I would like to think we did all we could to get Murphy in January, he’s exactly what we were needing. He has a good relationship with the Burton manager so maybe that’ swayed it.
