No doubt getting his motherwell wage ten times over on that contract. You have to wonder how much football he is actually going to play in those 3 years though, could genuinely not play a single senior game in that time which at 28 would be a massive step back coming into his prime years so to speak. Good on him but. If you're Gillespie and at 28, probably not made much money in football, it's an absolutely life changing deal for him...hes got the luck that unfortunately Carson didnt

joewarkfanclub
Fairplay to Gillespie. Great move for him. Really hope he can nail down a first team place. He seems like a good guy and it would be another feather in our cap when trying to attract aspiring talent.
numpty
It's a great move for him, but he'll be doing well to make himself second choice keeper there, let alone first.
santheman
Rumours going around that Kipre is away to West Ham. Potential windfall for us if that's the case
Stuwell2
Report says they hope to get him on the cheap for £1m which would be a steal and bad news for us.

Absolutely. Going back to our spell in Administration, big Terry had the final say about who was transferred and who wasn't from a football perspective. However the administrators decided what fee was acceptable for any leavers. Dundee United offered "to help us out" by tabling an offer for Stuart Elliot which was about 10% of the fee we eventually received from Hull City. United were told where to go in no uncertain terms. Kipre is worth more than £1m.

Spit_It_Out
If anything Mark Gillespie proves you can come to a club like ours playing well and get a move to a bigger club easy!It really does put us and in a good place to attract really good players. Big Wispy Flossy
Remember the outrage on here when we allowed  Dom Thomas to leave and signed Cedric Kipre (even though they played different positions and are a million stratosphere’s away in terms of footballing ability)

GazzyB
I thought Cadden was back at Oxford but a quick Google shows he's still with Columbus. Made his first appearance back since lockdown as a 2nd half sub for them yesterday. Â He'll likely never play for Oxford again.
