Clay. Calm and clinical passing.

A close run thing between Heneghan and McManus for me. Neither had a brilliant game but they played like British survivors from Rorkes Drift and refused to buckle when faced with overwhelming odds. Heneghan just shades it for me.

Clay for his run box to box bypassing two thirds of the opposition. Just unfortunate McDonald didn't pass him the ball.

McManus for his marshalling of the defence, when they were in danger of being over-run, and willingness to block and fling himself into the tackle.

Nobody was outstanding today. Clay was excellent 1st half but was anonymous for large spells of the 2nd half. Over the full 90 mins, both McManus and Heneghan played well so I've given it to Big Ben. His block towards the end was superb.

Wasn't at the game yesterday but it's interesting to see the 3 guys getting the most votes are guys we signed in the summer. Is this a sign that they are settling in now or are the rest that pish? Also, with our youth players now getting some game time can we look forward to seeing some of them collecting votes before the end of the season?

Given Tait scored a wonder-goal and during the 90 mins played right wing back, right back and left back I've gone with him.

Clay became the holding player when Lucas came on and that probably tied in with him becoming more anonymous. Although I do agree he does seem to disappear later on in games.
