mcguru
Rangers TV which streamed the game had a perfect camera angle behind the goal and the ball definitely went in off Pearson only slightest touch but by no stretch of the imagination could Pearson not be deemed not to be interfering with play. Ref got it spot on. You can see the referee's hand go up indicating offside so indirect feee kick. He will then be saying to the linesman put your flag up so it's a clearer indication to everyone. It's rare but it does happen that the referee gives the decision first.
Kmcalpin
Hopefully we don't give these wee Fannie's the run of the whole south stand and stick them up the top tier as far away from the East stand as possible.......or just stick them in the main stand...and give them a personal escort like the St J game Top tier of the South Stand yes, POD Stand...no thanks. ropy
Judging by the highlights I can't believe the amount of chances we created! And then missed! Â Samson has once again absolutely sold the jerseys with their goal. Yes it looks like Samson could have stepped out and crowded out or smothered Garner's attempt
CoF
Yes it looks like Samson could have stepped out and crowded out or smothered Garner's attempt  To be fair, (and maybe I'm setting the bar really low these days) it's a very good ball in. wellowell
Just watched highlights and was ref who disallowed goal not linesman he just put flag up after ref made decision can't tell if Pearo touched it but certainly interfering so correct decision .With their goal it's no wonder we can't keep clean sheets if a ball can travel that far lands in 6 yard box and our keeper still standing on line admiring the cross .Imo dosnt matter how many saves Samson makes put high balls in and we're guaranteed to lose goals .Hopefully our new goalkeeping coach can train him to leave line when ball so close to goals but as he's 32 now really doubt he will ever change and that's what stops him being a top keeper . Samson should have came for that ball in or at the very least been all over Garner to stop him getting a clean contact on the ball, but as usual he fucked it up. We really need a keeper who will take charge once in a while as he is fecking murder.
Kmcalpin
To be fair, (and maybe I'm setting the bar really low these days) it's a very good ball in. He had all the time and space in the world to pick his target out for a free cross. No-one closed him down. Samson too could and should have done better. In short poor defending. Overall though a huge improvement and it was good to see the team have ago at Ibrox instead of sitting back. Robinson seems to have installed some much needed spirit and organisation to the team. It would have been good if our chalked effort had been allowed but in terms of luck it hasn't been our season. Lets hope our improvement continues.
underboyleheating
Had the keeper saved it and Pearson scored on the rebound...different story It came off Pearson last, so I think we need to give the ref some credit on this one.
joewarkfanclub
Not sure if anyone else noticed or has commented, but Pearo looked a lot more like himself on Saturday. Got around the pitch and was snapping into tackles. Maybe he has been carrying an injury as the manager alluded to in his pre match interview. Â Garner starts his run on the 18 yard line in the opposite direction of Samsons line of sight and strikes it beautifully. Â There are goalkeepers in the past where nothing would have been said but because its Samson it's he's hung out to dry. Samson played a big part in us getting that point on Saturday and has actually been pretty decent recently. Made a save at Kilmarnock as well that helped give us all three points. Â The myopic scapegoating needs to stop.

We really need a keeper who will take charge once in a while as he is fecking murder.  Loathe as I am to defend Samson, I thought he was good on Saturday. The goal...Miller has yards of space to run into, time to pick his cross (again), Heneghan lets Garner run off him, and Samson gets done at his near post. Samson at fault, but he's not alone. Made a couple of good saves aside from that as well.  All in all, a good performance from us. We all looked fit, Pearson snapping into tackles and Cadden not holding back on his runs makes such a difference to us. The two centre forwards and big Bowman put in an absolute power of work as well. Lasley being used like Lasley should have been used all season. He's not a 90 minute player, but having him in the middle in the second half was the right thing to do. Getting there, but we absolutely have to beat Accies. Absolute must-win. A point at Ibrox is a bonus we weren't expecting, but it's for nought if we don't win on Wednesday.
mio
To be fair, (and maybe I'm setting the bar really low these days) it's a very good ball in. Â Have to agree, really difficult ball to deal with. Â Granted Samson didn't cover himself in glory there but Heneghan let Garner peel off him easily. For me your centre half should be at least able to move his feet better and get some form of head on it, even just to deflect it.
Pepper
Heneghan is entitled to expect Samson to come and deal with it, it lands about a yard out and two yards beyond the back post, it's the Keeper's ball every day of the week, but as usual he was caught out. Â He either doesn't want to come out, or isn't switched on enough to know when he needs to be off his mark quickly, I dunno which is worse. weeyin
If any of our central defenders are expecting Samson to come out for it, they obviously haven't been watching any of our previous games. Â So instead, they'll need to compete with the guy they are supposed to be marking and maybe clear it themselves.
scoojy
Â Â and Samson gets done at his near post. Surely it's the back post. Â As an aside - the whole 'getting beat at the near post' thing is a ridiculous notion. The goal is a big area to cover and a decent strike can beat you anywhere. I used to listen to the pundits/journos on that one until my son decided to become a goalie and I look at it differently now after having watched hundreds of matches and training sessions.

Spiderpig
Â Nonsense. The cross is high, fast and curling away from goal. Very difficult for any goalkeeper to come for. Ok, it would not have mattered if the cross was low, slow and heading straight for him he would have not come for it he never does. So no scapegoating as you put it just a statement of fact that our current 1st choice keeper is pish.

Ok it puts more pressure on them to compensate for a colleague's weaknesses, and thats pressure they can well do without but thats our situation. Pepper
I'm sure they all know his weaknesses, but there are certain situations where you just can't cover for a keeper and this was one of them IMO. Even if he can't collect it he has to be beyond his near post so that Garner can't squeeze it past him.
Clackscat
I'm sympathetic to the difficulties of goalkeeping having spent 12 years in that position in the amateur game. Not easy but I have to say he should have come for that cross even a flick off his hand and out for a corner would have cleared the imminent danger. Having said that he was unlucky the ball squeezed in the smallest of spaces at the near post. Really encouraging overall performance and attitude. Going to Ibrox playing 3-4-3 was very refreshing  Sent from my GT-I9195 using Tapatalk
Wellfan1984
Unbelievable. The strikers again shit the bed in a game (not the first time this season) and it's the other end of the park that is being questioned. 12 shots on goal with only 1 actual goal to show for it. Jay
We'll obviously never know the answer, but I wonder if there's any chance Samson might actually have come for the cross if he hadn't potentially had his confidence obliterated by sarcastic cheers and abuse from his own fans the past few weeks.
postiejim
Could just as easily blame the outfield players for not scoring a few more, just like a few weeks ago against St Johnstone ,we had chances but didn't take them.We rarely score more than one goal in a game.
