gilmour
http://m.bbc.co.uk/sport/football/39898359 Â We were too quick to sack him. Feck off ya tit
gilmour
Gies a joab, I lasted 30 secs then realised it was poor me I'm great can I get a job and switched off. Sorry for giving this inflated tit of an ego even more publicity.
numpty
What did you expect him to say? He was asked a question by a journalist, and he's presumably looking for another job. He's hardly going to say he was rubbish and deserved the sack.

He's hardly going to say he was rubbish and deserved the sack.  Yep, no problem with what McGhee said. It's just his style and it's given him a career at a decent level of football.  Compare it to how McCall's comments when he left us though:-  "I struggled to sleep after Friday’s game with St Johnstone then woke up again during the night Saturday into Sunday, thinking about the Dundee United game and I just couldn’t come up with any answers. I felt that with the International break coming up, now would be a good time to step aside to allow the club time." Pure class. I still love Stuart McCall. GazzyB
Absolutely love McCall. McGhee's first spell was class, but his second was a disaster, and there's a small to decent chance we'll go down as a result.

He's hardly going to say he was rubbish and deserved the sack. Â Personally I would have preferred that out of respect to former colleagues, the importance of the game they are facing and the position in which they find themselves in; and given that he played no small part in those colleagues arriving at this point, he just declined to answer. Â Naive as that may sound.
Ya Bezzer!
Absolutely love McCall. McGhee's first spell was class, but his second was a disaster, and there's a small to decent chance we'll go down as a result. Â It wasn't a disaster. He got us top 6 last season. Â I wouldn't advise you hold your breath until we are in that position again.
Al B
I still really like Stuart McCall, and I still really like Mark McGhee. Up ye's.
Muzz
Mark McGhee's days were numbered as soon as Robinson returned to the club. And, FWIW, I thought we were too keen to sack him.
Kmcalpin
A bit odd that he's saying these things now. Presumably he didn't sign any confidentiality clause? Presumably too he's no longer in the employment of the club ie on gardening leave?
star sail
Taking the last decade alone, every manager we have had has contributed in no small way to keeping us in the Premiership. Mcghee, Gannon, Brown, McCall, and Baraclough. Â Football management is a tough gig and the vilifacation of football managers, I find hard to stomach. The car salesman, imposter that was Ian Baraclough kept us in the division and yet his treatment by Well fans was terrible. I would argue that he actually did more than any other manager in the last 10 years for securing our future. That our future is in jeopardy again shows how difficult it is to stay in the league. Â These guys put more effort into their jobs that the average joe. I would thank every single one of them given the chance. Â Let's hope we can add Robinson to the list over the next two weeks. Yoshi-1991
Not so sure on the love in for McCall. He left a sinking ship to save his reputation rather than stay and fight for us.
Yassin
I think McGhee would have kept us up. I think Robinson will too.

He left a sinking ship to save his reputation rather than stay and fight for us. ...or he had run out of ideas and chose to give up a wage giving someone else a chance to potentially do a better job, which Bara failed to do .Out of interest , Whose your favourite manager been and why? Shotts Well Fan
I heard from a Horse's mouth at the Sponsors Dinner that MCGhee lost the plot, he wads changing formations and line-ups at last minute. Training was shit and confusing. The Horse that I spoke to was happy the prick left (his words!!!).

underboyleheating
Tam Cowan on Off the Ball, McGhee’s team would have won todays game 2-0.
grizzlyg
Loved McCall and fans quickly forget his record, 1 cup final and 2 2nd places. I respect Magoo for his conduct during uncle Phil tragedy but to come out with his comments day before vital match sums up his arrogant attitude
eddiemunster
Mccall chucked it, then tried to beat us in the play-off and messed himself. He can go and fling shite at the moon.
Mintymac
No . Get real . He was a tremendous manager. But like most Well managers couldn't sustain it . What a time that was .
eddiemunster
We did well under mccall, but to move to the team trying to relegate us purely on the strength of his hunnery is something I won't forget. I was delighted to see him get his jotters from the jobby mob
grizzlyg
But harsh Eddie, 2 x 2nd places was great achievement but hey it's all about opinions
