steelboy
All the fixtures are good trips. Also if we don't beat Morton we should be able to get a runner's up spot again.
Donaldo87
Excellent draw. Hopefully win the group and be seeded for the next round.
Ya Bezzer!
Not hugely excited by the draw - I've seen us play both Queens Park and Morton many times in the cups, but at least we should get an away day to either Edinburgh city or, my preference, to Berwick.
daver
Potentially a nice wee train trip there.

Frazzie
I think that's a damn good draw, especially if we get Edinburgh City and/or Berwick away. Should be four wins too.
livivoice
Apart from the football side which I think gives us a good chance of progression in the tournament I am hoping from a personal point of view that we play Edinburgh City and Berwick Rangers away as these are 2 venues which I have never seen Motherwell play at. Yup I know I am pretty sad but with another unvisited venue being Stirling Albion on July 1 my `bucket list ` is nearing completion. Now, where did I leave my plane spotting book? Tweed
Local bias but Stenhousemuir in the South section with Falkirk in the North? Suits fine but really? The teams were split into North/South on each seeding group based on geography. Because of the league placings the line in each pot was not in the same place. purestate
...I am hoping from a personal point of view that we play Edinburgh City and Berwick Rangers away as these are 2 venues which I have never seen Motherwell play at. Pretty sure Edinburgh City are moving to share Spartans' ground. Hope that helps your bucket list
middleeastdave
Yes Edinburgh City will play all their home games at Ainslie park while Meadowbank gets developed!!
daver
Does anyone know when they decide what fixtures are home and away?
wellowell
Think by the silence that means no lol . BT sports have to decide what games they want to cover so I'm sure they will know probably what the fixtures are but can't announce until live games decided on by them . Andy_P
So, Queen's Park and Edinburgh City away then. Assuming the Edinburgh game will be played at Spartans ground... http://www.spartansfc.com/ainslie-park-2/

steelboy
I don't think so. The money gets pooled between all the teams.
wellowell
I think last year the teams got 10K if in televised game at group stage which is nowhere near the usual 80K for cup games . Sure read this somewhere but might be wrong :
Andy_P
Yes, it's £10,000 per team in the Group stages if your game is televised. Not great but better than nothing. The bad news is to verify that I had to go on to the Daily Record website to read an article there. The good news however is that I'm reminded why I rarely venture on to the Daily Record website by seeing reports such as how Egil Olsen missed out on the Celtic job because of his dog. Evidently things haven't improved in Rancid Towers since my last visit.
