Tamwell
I genuinely think that Moult goal today was my favourite goal of all time. I've followed Motherwell for nearly 30 years and it really is hard to think of much better. I have a few in mind, O'Neill, Jim hamilton's zidane volley. You all know the classics but what is your favourite? Â Batter in.
joewarkfanclub
Colin O'Neills all day long. Â The quality of the strike, the occasion and importance of it and the score at the time. Â We also hadnt been in a final in 39 years.
Al B
Jutkewicz in the 6-6 game is the best goal i've ever seen in the flesh.
Lobey_Dosser
Lionel Ainsworth at Ibrox. The flowing move, the sound of it hitting the net and the absolute scenes for the 950.
Tamwell
Jutkewicz in the 6-6 game is the best goal i've ever seen in the flesh.I got chucked out that game for being steaming
Kmcalpin
A close run thing for me betwen Colin O'Neill's Hampden goal and Jutkewicz's goal against Hibs. Just can't decide.
Tamwell
I genuinely believe that goal today was a work of genius. It's the reason I started this topic. I can't stop watching it.
GazzyB
Â Keeper puts his hands behind his back coz he thinks it's going well over. Then the wee stutter when he realises he's been done. Superb!!!
Ya Bezzer!
Mine is Mitchell van der Gaag's free kick against Dunfermline. Â A real low to high moment and an absolutely amazing strike.
weeyin
Far too many for me to pick a favourite, but from the one's I have seen in person: Â Some great goals from the Pettigrew/Graham combination. Marinello scored some crackers. Â When we had to beat Brechin (I think it was Brechin) to guarantee our promotion back to the SPL, everything was a bit tense until a young Andy Walker stayed calm to slot the opener. Â An even younger Paul Mills scoring at the death against Dunfermline at East End Park. Â The sweeping move that left Dougie Arnott at the end of a TC cross when we beat Rangers 2 - 1 at Fir Park. Â Brian McLaughlin on a mazy run beating half a dozen Accies players to score. Â Alfie Conn's lob against East Stirling that opened his account at Fir Park. Â Andy Walker's dummy to score in the '86 Skol Cup Semi against Celtic. Â The most spectacular by far was Bruce Cleland at Love Street. He picked up the ball at the half-way line and was still in the centre circle when he let one fly into the back of the net. We lost that game, though. Â One more I just remembered. We used to have a free-kick routine that involved Willie Irvine and Brian McLaughlin having a fake argument over who was going to take it - McLaughlin was the usual taker. In this routine, Irvine grabbed the ball and immediately after placing it chipped a delicate lob over the wall while a 'Well player peeled off to gather and shoot. I only ever saw it work once, and it was Ian Clinging who scored it against Airdrie.
fizoxy
In person? Van Der Gaag against dunfermline, was a huge moment at the time which all but secured our survival. Juke's against hibs was also some finish. Â Another quality finish worth a shout is the Jim Hamilton volley against Celtic. Â I'd put O'Neil's top out of all goals I've seen us score full stop. Haggischomper
There was one we scored against Partick Thistle, I think, where just about everyone in the team touched it before Billy Davies stroked it beautifully into the net. Please tell me that was real and I didn't just dream it

Happy Dosser
So many contenders but Louis' yesterday was very special given the context of the game. Luke The Jute's jaw-dropper against the Leithers looked physically impossible too but I knew from where I was sitting it was going in as soon as he hit it. Â And I'll never forget Willie P's 3-2 winner againt Ra Sellick in '76. We were down and out at half time but his finish was sublime (poetry). Yabba's Turd
Mine is Mitchell van der Gaag's free kick against Dunfermline. Â A real low to high moment and an absolutely amazing strike. You mean Mickey Weir's free kick he knocked to the side for Mitch to thunder it home?
1991
For me it's Marc Fitzpatrick in the semi v Hearts as I thought the game was lost. Â Also the playoff goals at Ibrox were amazing
Big Wispy Flossy
Tommy coyne v Celtic at Hampden
Al B
Im actually finding this quite difficult to narrow down! Higdon, Anier, Ainsworth, Humphrey, McFadden, McCormack...all have a few contenders each. Â I remember Dougie Ramsay smashing one in from 30 yards on the last day of the season at Dunfermline around 98/99, and Tommy Coyne backheel vollying in a corner at the same ground on opening day...maybe 95/95ish? Â Karl Higginbotham's overhead kick is right up there with the best.
joewarkfanclub
Not on Youtube but Brian Martins goal at Ibrox in the mid 90s was an absolute screamer. We didnt win the game though, so in context Colin O'Neils goal is better. Â That goal v Thistle is a great team goal. Wasnt at that game so never seen it before. Â Moults yesterday is up there due to the occasion. The fact we hadnt beat them in a cup game in my lifetime and just the sheer audacity of it! Shaka
Jered Stirling not score a 35 yard screamer on his debut? (or just after?) Â The top 3 Ive seen live was Psycho v Celtic, Van Der Gaag v Dunfermline and Lukas v Hibs. Â I remember many more, Jim Hamilton's Volley v Celtic, Kirky v Aberdeen to put them out the cup in 91 was a peach of a free kick Im sure? Sure I remember Higdon's hat trick goal in the 4-0 v Caley was a cracker of a move finished by him drilling it top bin from the penalty spot
ECOSSE1991
Watch Ryan Bowman when he's running towards the goal and Louis's lob goes in, Ryan holds both his hands up to his head in amazement at the quality of his teammates shot and can't believe it's gone in. Or he just realised that we were heading for the final.
ECOSSE1991
The first 45 minutes v Partick in November 1994 was possibly the best I've seen a Motherwell team play in 50+ years. We should have scored 7 in that half, beautiful quick accurate passing and flowing football. Paul Lambert was incredible in the game. So many great goals but the Colin O'Neal strike has to be the best individual one, regardless of the game/opposition.
fat_tony
A few of the best I've witnessed: - Jutkiewicz v Hibs. Incredible strike and the sheet emotion of getting back level after seeming completely out of it was incredible. - Moult yesterday. Enough said. - Fitzy Vs Hearts in 2005 semi - Clarkson's chip v Dundee Utd in the Phil O'Donnell game - For sheer emotion, Porter's equaliser in the cup game against hearts after that.
