well_said
The problems arise when the rules are not applied to both teams on the pitch
daver
Yeah, there is something seriously wrong with the system when you get a booking for a dive if the ref spots it but a 2 game ban if he misses it and gets pulled up on tv evidence. Against Celtic There was no chance that Fud Thompson was going to book Sinclair for diving and even less chance of the compliance officer would be taking a look either. But of course there seem to be different rules for the other 40 diddy teams in Scotland.
CoF
Penalty just awarded against Celtic with a "challenge" almost identical to Kipre on Sinclair. Only the boy didn't go down. Can't wait to hear Rodgers take on it.

Can't wait to hear Rodgers take on it. Im thought exactly that. Im hoping for Celtic fans to lose the plot over the decision. Would have a little chuckle inside. Richie
There was far more contact in that one than Kipré's. Lack of red card though
The African
Should be happy enough that Lustig did not get sent off.
steelboy
Watching the Liverpool game and I hope they never bring VAR in up here. Liverpool got a pen for a tug on Salah when he was never getting the ball. Yet West Brom got a goal chopped off for the tightest offside but the replay also showed a huge push by Mignolet on Barry which was ignored. It's just another way to help big teams. weeyin
I was thinking the exact same thing. As well as killing the flow of the game, there was nothing terrible about the 2 decisions that needed to be overturned. Even in games like American Football, the teams hated it so much the got rid of it for a while until they worked out a way to limit its use. And that's a game where breaks are more natural. This was shaping up to be a cracking game until WBA's 3rd goal was disallowed.
steelboy
The ref was desperately trying to stop WBA going 3-1 up there. If it's brought up here it'll be like the Warren Commission every time Celtic concede a goal.
weeyin
I can't believe he even asked for a review at the 3rd. In real time it never looked in doubt.

When it gets introduced up here packky Bonner will be the video ref

steelboy
They didn't play enough stoppage time either. A 49 minute half despite at least 6 minutes of VAR time plus a couple of injuries.

Complete debacle. And if the ref and linesman can't spot 6 players being offside they should be nowhere near the top flight.

For goal reviews, all the VAR is allowed to do is disallow it if there was an infringement by the attacking team.
