MFCGMFC
why dont we combine the 1st division and the spl cause there is a few good teams in there that have played in the spl st johnstone, dunfermline, partick, dundee etc Spl + 1st then.. Div 2 + Div 3 Then... highland league Then... junior leagues what do ya think? i think it would provide better games and with more teams there could be better competition and maybe more cash generated? its just a thought
Wellfan1984
1. Where do the other Non League Senior Leagues sides come in? 2. Junior Teams have no interest of joining with the Senior Set-up! Would cost them too much. 3. The second and third division should not be the next league down! There are better stadiums playing in the 5th Division of Spain! awaythelads
for what its worth, I'd go for SPL - 16 teams - play each other twice 2 down automatically 1 more in round robin playoff Div 1 North - 16 teams - Champs promoted, 2nd in round robin playoff Div 1 South - 16 teams - Champs promoted, 2nd in round robin playoff Make up games by bringing back the League Cup - 8 groups of 6 seeded (48 teams), play once (like UEFA Cup), top 2 progress to Last 16 of League Cup. Lets the wee teams get 1 or 2 games a season against top flight Div 2 North? - Highland League Maybe and Div 2 South being South of Scotland League ..... start of a pyramid structure Back on topic though .... make Hearts the team affected by 3 visit problem and cut the moaning of the Old Firm at us ..... we should have been the seeded Top 6 when guessing for the split who would be Top 6 this year
Chrismfcno1
Spl Same as it is Except with 2 relegated teams instead of 1. 12 team Spl 2 Spl 2: Airdrie Dundee Dunfermline Partick Queens Livi (Clyde) Morton Ross County (Whoever gets Relegated On the basis St Johnstone get promoted) + Raith Rovers Ayr United (Clyde/Stirling Albion) - whatever has the bigger fan base Regionalise rest of the teams into divisions eg Elgin to the Highland league Etc, Increase coverage of top junior leagues, Highlights etc to Increase awareness, Larger Crowds For the likes of Elgin with chance of winning league etc..
