He’s injured, an injury he picked up playing for us. If we apply the “real world” logic to injuries, we’ll have Digby Brown chapping the door soon enough. I never suggested we sack him. Simply not renew his contract. Would be some employment lawyer to find a case with that action.
GazzyB
Regarding his actual wages, do professional clubs have insurance in the event a player gets injured the insurance company pays his wages? I would've thought so but not sure.

DEWELL
In the Daily Record today he's out for the season. Grim stuff. Will he ever play again for us.
Neilwell86
To be fair for thats left of the season i wouldnt rush him back. Maybe the aim is to get him fit and a full pre season under his belt and back for next season.
GazzyB
Aye "out for the rest of the season" is a bit of a dramatic headline seeing as there's only a couple of months left. Hope we see him back fit and ready to go next season.
Electric Blues
On a semi-related note, I hope Dundee don't get relegated. Those 9-12 points (depending on respective post-split positions) are even more nailed on for us next season if Tanner's back.

It wasn't that long ago we were single-handedly responsible for keeping them in the league with the amount of points we donated to them. Nice that they have returned the favour.
