Steve Diggle
Its becoming the norm innit? What's the best way to maximise attendances? Put obstacles in the way of the paying public. Why this can't be pay-at-the-gate is probably even beyond somebody as thick as Hugh Keevins.
COB
Think its the coppers that are causing the prob mate wanting to know exactly how many people are turning up...i know that the case with St Mirren anyways and thats why theres are always ticket matches. Even tho u can buy ure ticket from the ticket office and walk through the gate

sbcmfc
I think at Tynecastle it's because they dont trust the turnstile staff to handle the cash. I worked there a few times when I worked for Rocksteady, and they are quite right, there were guys fighting over who got to man the cash gate! Normally they will have a window where you can buy tickets, and it will be manned by Hearts own staff, right up to KO, although I'd confirm that with MFC or HoMoFC before travelling to Edinburgh ticketless.
