We get to finals and invariably play Celtic or Rangers. We get knocked out early and big seeds tend to get knocked out. Typical Motherwell.... Rinse and repeat. Still the way we are playing we would have lost to any of the remaining semi finalists in any case.
Goggles & Flippers
Semi finalists of St Johnstone, Livvy, St Mirren and Hibs. Granted it looks like the Petrofac draw. Jesus what a time to have bottled it. I hope that realisation dawns on the players tonight and how close they could have had to silverwear if they just screwed the nut. Saying that we'd have managed to arse up the Dunfermline draw. Fair play to St Mirren, managed a result we can only dream about at present. Its all if's buts and maybe's but just imagine for a minute this group of wallopers had managed to do what far superior Motherwell teams under Robbo, McCall, McGhee etc had all failed to do. At least we don't need to worry now about getting horsed off St Midden in the final.
mitchel77
It sounds like a discussion or commentary about a football (soccer) match involving Johnstone, Lanier, and the team. The emphasis seems to be on a rough and aggressive style of play, with a desire to improve based on lessons learned from a previous match. The mention of putting 3 goals away suggests a strong offensive strategy, possibly in the context of a cup competition. "COYW" likely stands for "Come On You Wolves" or a similar team rallying cry.
