I'm very concerned that we need to fill a Campbell shaped hole and I don't believe that O'Hara, Donnelly and especially Crawford are up to it. Campbell's a bit like Turnbull in that it's unlikely we can find a direct replacement. However, the upside of losing so many players means GA can build a team to play the style he wants, and bring the personnel to play that style. Of course the downside to that is you need to get recruitment mostly spot-on at the first attempt.
steelboy
Woolery is more of an encouraging signing. Plenty of experience at a level equivalent to bottom six and some positive comments from fans of his former clubs. Everything is in limbo until we sort the the spine of the team. Goalkeeper, centre back, centre mid and centre forward are all badly needed.
Well Well
Don't we already have about 6 forwards now?

So if we are playing 4-3-3 that gives us one sub. But of course depends on how you classify guys like Lawless.

Yorkyred
Lawless clearly has something about him, top six with Thistle and top six with Livi where he was one of their better players. His record would suggest he’s far from shite and more a very capable Premiership level player. 3

Coatsy
Why write Lawless off he was injured last season and will have a preseason with us to get fit, is it because we let him go then resigned him? He has played at this level before as has been stated in previous posts

Every year it's the same, the players we sign are shite/not good enough/never heard of them. If we went out and signed Messi some folk would still find something about him to moan about. Aye we could follow St Mirren's example and hoover up all the dross the other clubs don't want. Our marketplace for signing's is dictated by our budget, so that means lower leagues and non league, yes this means we are taking a bit of a punt sometimes but we have had some good business in recent years, kipre, Moult, Johnson, Hartley to name a few. C&A not the shop
Seems my comment was to close to reality to be taken as the piss take it was. People clamour for players with proven SPL experience but when we bring in players with that experience and in our budget they get derided. Lawless had a poor 6 months, but he's clearly not a bad player at this level. Lamie started weakly but came on to a game by the end of the season. Crawford was solid enough as is O'Hara. All solid SPL players. The only big name SPL signing we've made in a long time is O'Donnell and maybe Watt. They've both been very good for us but haven't been without their detractors

I can't think of too many more that have forged a good career in the premiership. I think maybe Nicky Devlin is another one who seems to have done well. is there many more? On Lawless, I am certain we will see the player we were hoping, he had a bit of a shite time when he signed, between a total lack of football and injuries once he gets a good pre season under his belt we will HOPEFULLY see the player we expected.
