Goggles & Flippers
Well Society brought it up in a recent newsletter. I think it is so all 4 stands commemorate someone/thing associated with the club.
weeyin
No doubt the highest polling Standy McStand Face will be rejected.
SteelmaninOZ
There will be a few ex players to choose from. May I suggest Joe Wark.
weeyin
Ian St John is the obvious one to me. Other contenders Joe Wark, Willie Pettigrew, Charlie Aitken, Bobby Ancell. This is why I don't like naming stands after players, as there are too many quality candidates who miss out. I'd be OK if they renamed it The Away Stand. That's who got my vote Probably the last ever Motherwell player who will have played his entire Senior career at one club.
bobbybingo
Since it's predominantly Old Firm fans who are in it, the Cannae Fuckin Stand. Celtic won't be happy, but apparently Rangers don't care.
steelboy
It has to be Joe Wark.
bobbybingo
I asked ages ago about why George Stevenson hadn't had this kind of recognition. Somebody said there was something named after him, but I can't remember what. Any ideas?

weeyin
I'd have preferred the Hunter Stand to be the Joe Wark stand purely because I spent years on the Terrace there watching him crunch a few tackles and bomb up and down that wing a few feet away. Ya Bezzer!
The Only Time I Was In There Was The Odense Match Stand. Is what I know and will always know it as.
Kmcalpin
Not really in favour of naming stands after ex players. What happens after all 4 have been named? Anyway, players like Ferguson, McFadyen and Stevenson must be top candidates.

We could start a new fashion and name one of the shit-houses after him. I'm sure other ex-players could also be honoured. How about naming one of the urinal bowls after Andy Walker. Put his photo on the inside of the bowl so fans can honour him whenever they go for a piss.

I'm sure one of the pubs in Aberdeen also used to have photos of Rangers players in the urinals. That was not long after the Neil Simpson tackle on Durrant.
