Toxteth O'Grady
More international recognition. Kai Andrews has been named in the senior Wales squad for the first time, while Ewan Wilson is in the Scotland Under-21 squad.

Yup on paper it looked good for him bringing in some players improving them and selling them on. But by fek he was tactically lacking big time. He couldn’t read the match before it started negative tactics were the worst iv witnessed in all my years at Fir Park but he did get points on the board in spells. I’m sure he is probably a good coach but no way a good manager. After what he said about the support , tarred us all with the same brush in his interviews, then he forgot to mention we stuck by him on his horrific winless run last year. Wouldn’t wish him good luck at all but it would rhyme with it

Personally, I'd be quite happy to never negatively mention him again, as long as he returns the favour.

AllyMax
Hope Miller gets some minutes. This will be my first international since the early 80s 😊 My old age got brought home to me about 18 months ago, when someone brought an SFA 150th anniversary shirt in to my shop get framed. I thought, fuck me, I was at the centenary game ! Versus England, played in the snow, orange ball and a full on proper pumping it was too !

Not old enough to have seen the 1873 one obviously 🙂 My first international was a Home International against Wales in 1972 (aged 9 or 10). The SFA Centenery game was in '73 I think. Willie Ormond's first game in charge. We lost 0-5.
clueless
Aye, anybody criticising any of our goalies never saw Bobby Clark's display that day.

Yes, Bobby was master of the statuesque looking-with-surprise-at-the-ball-nestling-in-the -corner-of-the-net stance 😱.

grizzlyg
Thank feck Carver leaving Scotland set up after these games. Talking about Lennon will learn from his comments. No-one was even thinking about it. Walloper

wellfan
Carver saying what he said about Miller makes him nothing less than a total wanker. Regardless of what a young and obviously excited 18 year old said to the media, Carver is more than 3x his age and absolutely should know better than to say what he’s since said about Miller. It was entirely unnecessary and bordering on spiteful.
mio
I think you are all forgetting how qualified carver is and his experience gained from a 113 game career with Gateshead Utd. carver as well as Clarke have the same attitude, extremely negative, extremely sour on anyone having any sort of drive about them as a player and really arrogant to their own abilities. Lennon said nothing wrong and what he said should be admired but I’d take a wild guess and say that carver and Clarke did t like the comment and won’t give him a game, or if they do they will give him 1min on the park at the end as a punishment to clip his wings. we need new people in charge at Scotland.
twistandshout1983
This was the same John Carver who was interim manager of Newcastle and claimed he believed he was the best manager in the Premier League 😂 😂 😂

It was entirely unnecessary and bordering on spiteful. If you read the full quote, Miller gave a pretty professional answer to what was a, no doubt, typically loaded journo question: Quote "Listen, I'm obviously not going to go in and be the best player there, but I believe that I could maybe in a couple of months be the best player there. "I think that's how you need to think as a football player, you need to want to be the best, so that's what I will look to do." I can't imagine any successful pro not having the mindset that "you need to want to be the best"
texanwellfan
I think any decent manager would want a player with an attitude like that.
