No one really stood out.....in a good way.  A few stood out in a bad way!

For me some players put in a shift and that was about it.  Van Veen made an impact coming off the bench.  Shields, Roberts worked tirelessly.

I'll go Van Veen.

Of the players that started, then Maguire.
One of the few who was composed on the ball, but was getting hung out to dry at lack of options for a pass at times.
Unsurprisingly KVV livened things up.
Tierney looked promising in his short cameo.

Only a couple of candidates for me, KVV added some urgency and a small amount of skill but took the wrong option a few times. Tierney made an impact and I look forward to seeing how he develops. Slattery impressed too when he came on.

My vote goes to Maguire though, he didn't hide, tried to play the ball forward when he could and was always moving whether with or without the ball.

Had it gone to a penalty shoot out I would have voted Kelly.

I thought he struggled a bit today as well as at RC. Although having said that I’d say our best back four  has been Mugabi, Sol, Ojala, McGinley. And having said that, I think I’d rather have Carroll at left back plus I do like O’Donnell at right back. Who’d be a manager???

Van Veen turned the game on its head, I very much doubt we were winning that without him. Votes for McGuire ? Quite surprised but it’s all about opinions.
