End of the day at least we got to not only enjoy winning up at Tannadice but got to see that wee douche trudge off with his head down costing his team massively, its not as if we will benefit from this decision going forward and they'll get pumped at the weekend anyway.

However the inconsistency of the decisions is laughable as we have seen the likes of Carroll, McHugh etc sent off for less.

That’s your Tony Watt red card downgraded to a yellow, then.

Who cares he got sent off and helped us claim all 3 points, but it has to be said its not looking promising for VAR only 2 games in and it seems a bit of a shambles, technically and personell wise given the standard of refereeing in Scotland.

They've had VAR in England for much longer and its still a bit of a shambles there too.

I was listening to Bob Mills on Fighting Talk at the weekend, and having suffered it for longer, he has the same perspective as me. Basically, VAR has sucked much more spontaneity and enjoyment out of the game than one or two incorrect decisions against your team in a season ever did.

I think the phrase “one or two” is more than kind to the Scottish officials.

Not really.

How many game changing bad decisions can you remember being awarded against us last season? Then how many of those would have been eligible for review by VAR? And how many of those were clear and obvious errors that should have been overturned? And if they were clear and obvious errors that should have been overturned, how many would actually have been overturned by our VAR officials?

Let me go review my log book of incidents that I keep for questions just like this and I’ll get back to you.
