Not a must win game, but it would certainly give us a boost going into the festive programme and give Hammy some breathing space whilst we wait on the window to address the deficiencies in the squad. The Killie game would he a more important victory given current league positions, but we just need to start putting points on the board regardless of the opposition. Any win will do.

He should be half way down the M6 en route back to Burton Albion. Guy was a great player for us in his first spell but he is done now and we can’t afford to be sentimental.

The league is that tight that we could quite easily be battling for the top 6 just as easily as we could be battling relegation, one thing for certain though is we need to sort out our dreadful home form and this game would be the perfect time to start.

Only Motherwell. :wallbash:

Only Fir Park. :wallbash:

There cannot be another top flight professional football club in the country that has had as many home matches postponed due to issues with the stadium. And there surely can’t be another one with such a variety of reasons.

If it’s not the pitch that’s waterlogged or frozen it’s burst pipes and flooding. If it’s not that then it’s structural damage after a bit of high winds, or floodlight pylons catching fire, or power cuts or tannoys not working due to lightning strikes.

No doubt next Friday will be off too meaning we will now have a major backlog in January or February.

It will give us time to work on the team being somehow worse than it was before the winter break

I suppose one way of looking at it is we might have actually managed to recruit some decent players by the time the game gets played.

On the other hand it is concerning to hear the club describe the damage to the stadium as extensive which will now mean that more money will have to be spent on repairs which could well hamper any budget we may have had in January.

I'd imagine that insurance covers the bulk of the repairs.

We will be losing money on the rescheduled game, however, as apparently tomorrow's hospitality was sold out and a large crowd was on the cards as fans returned to proper football after the break. No way we pull in as much money for a Tuesday night game in February.

Maybe we need to sign a plumber
