With Dundee United playing Rangers after our game on Sunday we'll need to hope the blue side of Glasgow can do us a turn there, and that Livingston can do something against Ross County away the day before.

I think a point minimum against Hibs would suffice if Rangers beat United, and all three against Ross County the following game.

Obviously a win in both would be preferable.

I think our game is a nailed on draw. Two poor teams, both struggling, both managers under the cosh. Can’t see past a 1-1 shitfest.

I wouldn’t count on Rangers winning at Tannadice either as Utd have an excellent record against them especially up there and took four points from Rangers two visits there last season.

We may well be either joint bottom or just one point off it come Sunday evening.

This is a game we must look to win, by whatever legal means. A draw is the minimum acceptable outcome IF we beat Ross County. We can't rely on others doing us a favour at all........if they do it should be an unexpected bonus.

One things for sure more of the same on Sunday won't do.

Definitely need at least a draw. Cant allow Hibs the luxury of opening up a gap and feeling safer. Keep the pressure on them and make sure we beat Ross County. We have other favourable fixtures (St Mirren double header) where we should also be looking to pick up points.

Think the Hibs boss might be working his ticket, having a pop at the" mediocrity" in the squad, seems aimed at board....wait till he sees the Motherwell team

I do think we are due a win v them though but that means hee haw

I had seen that interview yesterday and I was quite surprised by his comments as he was well supported bringing in players, I'm sure he added ten or so new additions to his squad. They play us followed by United then Hearts in the cup, you can't help but feel he'll be getting his jotters if they don't turn it around soon.

Anyway the first of two massive games at Fir Park, we have a game in hand over both Hibs and County so three points would be most welcome. It would be lovely to bring them right back into the relegation mix esph after spending a fortune. The game at Easter Road was frustrating, obv pre VAR but we should have had a pen that was denied then frustratingly we got a man sent off soon there after and they scored. I wouldn't be surprised if the game was another low scoring affair, we need to be more ruthless and composed in front of goal but you can't help but feel we won't shake off that habit with the current forwards. Hammell mentioned he hoped to have at least one new player over the line this week so fingers crossed we can get some quality added.

The wee fud ref David Munro from the Livi game yesterday is the ref for this game too.

Meant to call the ref a fud

We really need to start picking up wins at home to have any chance, this would be the ideal game to start.the first goal is always crucial but probably even more so in this game.

We had 2 goals of a start and an extra man against Kilmarnock and we contrived to feck that up, most teams have problems either scoring goals or conceding them, we have both, no goal threat and a defence that can't keep a clean sheet both of which need to change right now if we are going to avoid relegation.

Thats the frustrating thing, we seem to be conceding goals in the most frustrating manner i.e. free headers or conceding after peppering our opponents goal with chances we should be scoring ourselves, funnily enough with goals conceded in the league, its only Rangers, Celtic and surprisingly St Mirren by one goal thats conceded fewer so far.

I know it's not a simple task but if we can get the right bodies in this window I think we will have a decent enough side to push on. My main worry is that in the 2014/15 season we left it late in the window to make a barrowload of signings as did Ross County, they beat us immediately after the window closed and then seemed to match us stride for stride, obviously both clubs alongside St Mirren had found themselves cut off far adrift by that point, a little concerned that might happen again due to how the leagues currently looking and if we don't get positive results in the next few games.

I'm convinced Lee Johnson is trying to work his ticket at Hibs due to his recent interviews, it would be quite refreshing to actually not do any opposition any favours.

Perhaps not quite the 6-6

I don’t want a 6-6 and a “great spectacle for the neutral” and an “entertaining match”. I would take an absolutely awful game as long as we win.

1-0 with a KvV penalty or an own goal will do me.

I don't share much of the doom and gloom that I have been reading over the last number of weeks. Comments like ' favourites for the drop' and ' the teams around us will start to move away now' seem strange given that we have a decent record against those teams in recent months.

We beat Dundee Utd the last time we played them. We thumped Ross County. We have held our own against Killie and Livingston in recent weeks. The Kilmarnock game was frustrating but a freak goal from a former player with a point to prove was the difference between one point and three.

I think the next three games are very winnable and could change the complexion of the season. Hibs come to FP under alot of pressure. Their managers comments after last week's game suggested a man feeling that pressure.

So I predict for us to narrowly beat Hibs by one goal after a nervy 90 mins and for Rangers to beat Dundee Utd so that the picture looks a little brighter tomorrow evening.

We’re definitely in trouble but we’re certainly not “favourites for the drop”.

The next set of results may or may not change that but it’s very much in our hands just now and with two very winnable home games back to back then we can make things a lot easier for ourselves by winning both. Obviously that’s easier said than done given the team we have but we have a great chance of easing some of the pressure.

your correct MJC  couple of wins means everything in a results driven business,,  but as you say easier said than done especially with probs the same same starting 11 as last week,   we just have to hope that the hibs managers brain fart last week means his players are still under that bus and not on it
