"I heard it" can you clarify what you heard,I'm sure many on here can handle it and not affect them,I'm being honest with you, what was shouted at kettlewell.

I think I made the I heard it comment.

There was a boy standing right beside me at Perth who shouted ' get tae f**K Kettlewell, you useless c**t'

He looked as if he was about to explode with anger.

I may have been very unlucky that I was standing beside the only Motherwell fan in the entire stadium making these comments but given that Kettlewell has subsequently resigned I don't think that was a single comment in isolation.

I think football is possibly the only environment left where a comment like that is considered reasonable and where fellow supporters will try and defend it.

That right. Im inane, no bother. Funny that its me you are going in on rather than the person who posted the original post, odd that but not surprising in the least. Its easier to pick off some posters than others - that's very clear from your comment.

I suggest you put me on ignore and keep me there. Youre the poster who said the well bois didnt put a foot wrong from recollection - enough said. There should be room for all kinds of opinions on here but there clearly isnt.

Ps Im a lot of things - but inane isn't one of them, maybe reflect before you start name-calling me for doing nothing but support someone else's post on here. We can only have certain opinions or we arent welcome on here - no bother.

Word salad. I was being descriptive on an observation.

As for the Well Bois comment - on a Stewart Kettlewell discussion thread? An irrelevance much like yourself. I’ve defended them, not once have I said they never put a foot wrong. For the record, I’ll wager you know nothing of the Well Bois given the make up of those who frequent that area of the stadium.

Plenty of your musings on what’s an emotive subject this week are exactly that - inane. An understanding of dressing room politics and doubling down as you refuse to believe is lacking sense or meaning. All in the schooling I suppose.

At no point did I mention your opinion isn’t welcome. Playing victim card once again - no bother.

The fact that some people can handle it should not diminish the fact that some people have had enough. I said it a few months ago. I was a few feet away from someone screaming at Spittal for taking a corner because he was moving to Hearts, Blair could hear him and then the fan wanted to fight other fans for being challenged and then someone else wanted to fight him. If people think we dont have a small minority of people who go too far - we absolutely do and in my view, it's not on Stuart - it's on them.

You dont know what someone's last straw moment is - speaking from experience here. It could be nothing to some of us but you dont know what someone's tipping point is.

For the hard of hearing and illiterate amongst Scottish football, please note Kettlewell did not lose his job, he quit.

Putting the concerns around Kettlewell’s reasoning for quitting aside for now, a red flag for me is that Caldwell seems to have been watching a different run of games and performances to the fans of late. And let’s not forget that bad run in 2023.

We have been utter shite and have clearly been at risk of free-fall, but Caldwell’s words would have you believe otherwise and suggest that he was generally content with Kettlewell. Perhaps he wasn’t, but him appearing to publicly side with a former manager over the fans will only fuel the unhelpful ‘us vs them’ narrative that has developed following that resignation statement.

This whole debacle has unnecessarily grown arms and legs, and I don’t think it’s over doing so.

Could you not just have said " an irrelevance " and missed the " much like yourself" bit out? 🤔

just a thought...

If abuse started at Aberdeen game why not mention it to club then?  Club could have put statement out condemning the abuse.

Anyway we move on,

I heard people complaining on here about that one , think that's where a reality check is required.

Even with our strongest 11 , beating Aberdeen is a great result , we didn't have close to our strongest 11.

I'm disappointed in the narrative since sk left but I can understand him being annoyed at mumping after that game

The 2 st johnstone games, not so much.

Had Aberdeen had 11 men I would agree but they had 10 men for 45 mins and we never laid glove on them. Given our historical fuck ups against 10 men and our complete inability to keep possession for more than 2 minutes there was plenty to be exasperated about. Frankly I'll  always reserve my right to be exasperated at any game and moan like fuck when we play absolute pish. Does that mean I abuse the manager of individual players ? no it doesn't.

No time for journalists but watched sun sport YouTube clip and I thought Robert Grieve was really good, he obviously condemned as we all do the personal abuse but he was kind of hinting why did SK not just sleep on it and ride it out and things could have improved.

Anyway I am done talking about it. We move on and back Frail and the lads.    COYW

Ok but we beat them 2 nil and got 3 points so that's one of the games I wouldn't be too upset about , but you're right you have the right to be exasperated

All the narrative from Stuart Kettlewell, Brian Caldwell and the media is that the Motherwell fans hounded the manager out with abuse directed at both him and his family. Caldwell further confirmed this when asked about why Kettlewell resigned. At least we, the fans know where we stand with the current regime running this club. They don't give a toss about the fans. It's nice to know how unimportant we are. I will show them how unimportant I am by not renewing my season ticket. The incompetent bunch running this club should have joined the manager and resigned. They have instigated a plan which is to bring in players from the depths of English football. Not once have they looked at the top 4 teams in the Scottish Championship. These are the teams battling for promotion and have better players than the garbage we have been signing. I will enjoy spending my season ticket money on something else.

I would suggest that if you (and others) do take the decision to not renew your season ticket, that you put the reason in writing to the Club and the Well Society. They need to see that their (in)actions that negatively affect the fans of a fan-owned club have real financial consequences.

Well after hearing it all and how we've been flung under the bus this week I have stopped my well society contribution and have let them know that I'm extremely disappointed with how the club have handled it in the media and the narrative that's been spun. If I'm a part of a group od big bad buggers to you then you won't wish to have my money that I work longer hours than SK ever did and for a lot less money. I've had 1 day off in the last 14 days and I work 10-14 hours a day so the financial outlay of going to football I expect to see a team fighting the bit out and trying to play some football. I've never personally abused anyone but the way fans have been painted this past week has been saddening and I'm so disappointed on our club right now

Valid points with merit until your take on recruitment.

It’s simple logistics, the value just isn’t there despite some undoubted talent. Inflated transfer or costly development fees in a flawed system or priced out of securing pre-contracts - take your pick.

Where does the Stamatelopoulos acquisition or development of academy prospects fit into your thinking?

The Well Society wouldn't have been the ones guiding the club's reaction to anything this week, so not sure what cancelling that direct debit achieves.

I've been called far worse online - as for my schooling - I'm not doing too bad for a working class lassie who is on degree number 4.

Supporters this week have been told this week that they're not allowed to vent their feelings at games...this fella has decided the next best option is to remove his funding.

All in all this has been a rotten week for us and no one comes out of it looking good.

Not the club, not the support, not the WS and despite his army of chums in the media neither does Stuart Kettlewell in my opinion. He has ‘played politics’ and manipulated the situation to try and maintain his personal reputation and unfortunately the club and WS have played right into his hands.

That is not excusing any personal abuse that was directed his way, or that towards any of his family and I think that there probably was some uncalled for and unacceptable stuff said. But I do not believe for one minute that that is the main reason that he left

The well society own the club but when these things happen amd the club is off course in how they're acting they side in. Either they're a responsible owner of a football club or a supporter Trust. I don't feel the well society represent me here so if the messaging from the club is deemed acceptable by the well society then I no longer wish for me or my money to be associated with the well society until a full and public apology and acknowledgement from both the well society as owner and the club as the club is made.

That's fair enough but they don't run the club day-to-day. The best way to make the point and pulling any funding would be to stop buying any tickets/tell them you won't be renewing your season ticket?

Well it's more difficult than that If I didn't have friends who I've made coming to watch motherwell every week and it wasn't such a big part of my social life I would stop spending but I'll put this way I may or may not renew my season card

I will be unlikely to spend on kits and training gear as most of my gym outfits come from the club shop.

At the end of the day well society are owners and need to start acting as such. This situation this week with the club in the media the chairman spending 10 minutes on the clubs youtube channel addressing the fans as though we're ill behaved children and that Stevie Frail clip has happened on their watch. They weren't slow at complaining about the 3rd kit to Caldwell which if were as cash strapped as always claiming maybe a 3rd kit for profit isn't a bad thing.but that's another argument.

That's the exact reason the club know they can come out with the sort of shit they have this week and keep treating fans like shit in general - they know we'll keep piling our money in through the turnstiles regardless. The club won't give a fuck about your Well Society payment so long as you still turn up on a Saturday and hand over your cash. There's only 1 way to break that cycle.

I completely missed them making an argument about the 3rd kit.
