I love how football shirts and opinions around them can be so polarised and emotive. For example, I could never understand all the hate for the 22/23 hatred, I loved it. Expand Although some of my favourite players wore the jersey, the yellow Admiral effort with yellow shorts is in there. It was a lot more yellow than the picture suggests and barely a nod to our traditional colours. Never liked the JAAX Bukta version Maybe more controversial, I wasn't a fan of our Unotuchables And our esteemed leader's Zoom dragged this one into the gutter. What if, however, the Well Society tells you that changing the design every year generates enough income to pay the salary of one player that season? Having discussed possibilities with manufacturers, present the final three options and let the folk who will be paying for the new shirt have the final say. Club, WS and fanbase uniting! Most online posts are reasonable, but there are few which are adversarial in tone. Above all else we need to show a united front on the footballing side and get right behind the team, from the off, as in Saturday 6th. Expand I’m sure I made that very point on this thread last year about us keeping the same kit for two seasons, something that hasn’t happened for us since we had the Puma kit of 2011 to 2013 (Michael Higdon’s time to be precise). I know that it’s not just us that change every year nowadays, indeed I think every club does it but do we really need to? Perhaps we do because of the revenue it generates for the club that we couldn’t afford to miss out on and if so, fair enough, I accept that. Maybe it’s a contractual agreement between the club and the manufacturer and again if that’s the case, fair enough. It’s certainly worth asking the question though. Expand You may well be right about that but it’s clearly something that divides the support every year, be that traditional/a wee bit different/completely out the box or the old white shorts/claret shorts/amber shorts debate. Expand I can't remember which club hasn't changed their kit - maybe not a Scottish one but I saw something on twitter not that long ago about a club, definitely UK based keeping their strip for two seasons because they were concerned fans might not be able to afford to buy My brother buys me Motherwell merch at Christmas or I get it on sale. It might not be financially viable for us as I said but asking people to fork out £45/£50 and upwards every season for a new kit is a big ask.
