We could always do the Rangers/Celtic strategy.

Bring out an away kit at the beginning of the summer.  Wear it on the first league match of the season.  Then immediately bin it and bring out another away kit until Christmas when that kit gets binned and another kit comes out.

Only thing is we won't also be able to release a 'Euro' kit as well.

Or we could just bring our kit out from June? Imagine if we had pre-orders available now? And a new kit available from the first few weeks of next month?

From a Macron perspective I imagine the number shifted is pretty much the same whether they sell it in June or August.

From a logistics perspective it probably makes little financial sense to them to launch in June when they have more profitable kit to sell.

I'm not sure I buy (excuse the pun) into that, really. It makes sense that if a kit goes on sale in June, it'll sell more than a shirt that goes on sale in August, simply because it's available those extra few months in the summer. I know at least three people who every single year say that if the kits went on sale before they went on holiday, they'd buy a shirt for themselves and also kits for their kids to wear.

When they come back and it goes on sale in August? It's a case of they'll "get around to it", which often means they don't buy it at all or eventually get it in the sale.

I just find it mental that we often have our new kit go on sale after the summer. And if Macron can't be arsed putting ours together early because we're not as profitable, then we maybe need to look elsewhere.

Not sure if this has been chatted about already but does this give any indication to possible colours for next session? https://x.com/MotherwellFC/status/1796859239178346978

also, any idea if this will be available to buy, if those itk can say?

Yeah, they've said it'll be in the club shop soon.

Yep

Thanks for that about Andy Weir: wasn't absolutely sure. Andy always looked so old and frail to me when I was a wee boy but i don't think he ever fully recovered from the meningitis he contracted after his head injury against Third Lanark.

Did Macron honestly just use Dundee Utd’s training tops from two years ago and replace their badge with ours? Even the luminous black and Green thing we’ve seen pictured already is similar to the last training wear macron made for Utd.

God knows what monstrosity they’re going to come up with for a first team strip this year. After a proper Motherwell kit last season we must be due for something nonsensical again.

Is that not the "matchday top" which, in 21st century footballing money grabs, is different from the training top?

I won't be buying either, and don't really care what we train in, tbh.

Get the Sash from this year's away kit on it and the blue uglies will buy it 😁, all joking aside surely someone is taking the piss here

That would almost be worth it just to see the meltdown it would cause from some on here.

But yes on a serious note just why would anyone at the club sign off on this? Or is this our latest ploy to show how “skint” we are that we had to acquire a batch of 22/23 Dundee Utd macron training kits and stick our badge on them?
