SteelmaninOZ
We should be where Killie sits on the table I think we will have another draw but would like as all Well fans everywhere we want a win. Let’s all get behind the lads. COYW
MJC
We need to win. Feel like a broken record saying that but we need to start winning football matches. Hopefully we will have another striker option on board by the time this game comes around. I can see it being another draw though unfortunately. smiddy
we will not be able to deal with the way danny armstrong whips balls into our box so likely to lose a goal at least, but we also know that killie 2 up yesterday can conceed goals so if we can get someone in up top , yip draw better than zilch and need to bear RC after that
mfc
For all our problems in attack right now it's our defence that's our biggest headache.we need to cut out the cheap goals and quick as that's been our undoing all season.i would say this game will likely end in a draw but it could easily get away from us if we defend like we have been. Some, but not very many, would take issue with that. Part of the problem, and I'm not blaming him, is that Liam Kelly isn't good in the air. That means that his central defenders must compensate for him, which they cannot do. It doesn't help also that we're weak defensively on the flanks. As far as Saturday is concerned, it's hard to predict any outcome, as we may well see new faces arriving. Killie will score but we can score more; but will we? If we sign two fit strikers and a solid centre-back, we might just start to score more than we concede.
MJC
We will sign a striker, I’d be surprised if we didn’t. Whether he’s fit and able to deliver for us from the get-go is another matter.
steelboy
It's quite telling that we finished above Kilmarnock last season and beat them at home the last time we played but Kettlewell has lowered expectations so much that most people see this as a game we are unlikely to win. A few months ago we had to ignore results against the Old Firm, then it was ignore the results against Aberdeen and Hearts. Now it doesn't matter if we get beat off Kilmarnock at home apparently. Kilmarnock was our last home win on the 26th of August 2023.

We have won our last 2 home games and it would be a big boost in confidence for the team if we could win this one as well.
grizzlyg
We need to start picking up victories especially with next 2 at Home then a really difficult run of fixtures. Hope we have a striker in by then and start young Lennon and also once match fit I think Nicolson will do well for us...COYW

All the focus seems to be on the County game as the big one. This game should be win or P45 time.

At the point you posted only 6 people had given an opinion including the original poster. Not one said we couldnt win or it didnt matter whether we did or not. The fact that those posters felt a draw was the most likely result is probably more down to Kilmarnock's current run of form/league position, our current injury crisis and the uncertainty over whether we will have any new signings in by the time the window closes. I know I shouldnt bite, but there is absolutely no chance Kettlewell gets binned if we lose on Saturday, far less draw. The board have backed him up until now and given him the window to help dig us / himself out of this situation. Until it looks helpless or we suffer an absolute hammering, he isnt going anywhere. Now where did I put that pint thats still half full?

pretzel
Well we're 1 point better off than we were after 22 games last season, four teams were all stuck on 20 points at the bottom at this stage, so its nice to see a side marooned at the bottom. Not trying to temp fate but you would think Livi would struggle to get back into things esph with the likelihood of them losing some key players this week, it'll be interesting to see how the match vs County goes tonight. Obviously Killie have been much improved this campaign despite the likes of Rory McKenzie still getting game time, the game at Fir Park earlier in the season was the proverbial game of two halves whereas the game at Rugby Park was a hard watch as we shoehorned people into positions they clearly weren't comfy with. It'll be interesting to see who we bring in this week, anyway hopefully we make it the third win at Fir Park on the bounce and get that feel good factor back.
