I seen it mentioned somewhere that Jon Obika was helping with the warm up versus Hibs. He is 34 in September and his injury record the last two or three years hasn't been great, I wonder if he is looking to transition into a coaching role. Hopefully that optional year on his contract was in our favour rather than his.

I was pleased when Halliday signed as it gave us some league experience in the middle, he seemed to start brightly enough but he is so slow and ponderous on the ball and will never last a full 90.

From the list of players posted above there isn't many I would be too sad to see go. If Kettlewell has made contract offers to any I hope he has put a deadline on them before we move on to other targets.

Obika seems like a nice enough guy but I have never understood his signing he's been injury prone for years,

Nicholson and McGinn and give SOD something linked to the coaching side , for me the rest can all piss off. Oxburgh is an unknown but if the manager thinks hes a good replacement for Kelly then Yes. I actually think Kelly has only kept his place because the manager didnt want to ruin his chances of a place in the Euro squad.

very reasonable list.  I've not see Ox enough to say if good enough to retain.

I've been a reasonable advocate of SOD, he comes across well , local guy etc but as long as he's squad player only rather than starting 11.

I'd agree with that. Elliot is already gone though. Bevis is a hard one tbh. I'd say no but I can see why others like him. Id say no to Aston. If he's not going to be first choice move him on

I personally think SOD is very underrated.

Nicholson, Slattery, SOD and McGinn. And Kelly if he wants to stay.

Butcher has been an integral part of our horrific defensive record this season and needs to move on.

Sod has many positive attributes and imo gets a rougher time than most

reason for my comment is his days of pushing up as a RwB are behind him .

Very nice guy and want him around but don’t see him as a automatic start in first 11

Signing guys in their 30s as back up is daft. McGinn, SOD and Nicholson are past it. We saw that on Wednesday night.

Butcher wouldn't get a game for Accies now.

In your view. And Sam is 29. Not in his 30s. And maybe Butcher wouldn't. But it was that horrible injury that's effectively ruined his career at this level. Nothing else

Watching raith v Partick,  I would sign brown and the keeper dubrowski, both excellent

Let’s hope County or St Johnstone beat them in the play off final as we don’t want Raith’s plastic shite in the Premiership.

Dabrowski saved Raith there and the boy Brown with some brilliant goal line clearances. Was watching Easton as well since we're rumoured to be signing him and he looked quite skillful and energetic but also a bit wasteful.

A interesting player we could look at signing is Blair Alston scored all 3 Partick goals in there game on aggregate

I’m not sure we need another 32 year old midfielder. He’s also got another year left on his contract at Partick.

Think you need some older heads and players that have been at a club a while in any squad. Even if he’s not a regular starter he has loads of experience.  Have we had any players like that in the last few years, how long has he been here for now . SOD will be a good guy to have around
