Also we now have four right sided centre backs none of whom are more than 6 feet tall. Great planning from Kettlewell. Like most players in the A-League he is a journeyman Perth Glory is in a very bad way and are a very good chance of dropping into the Western Australia state premier league. He will be a good player for us
Kmcalpin
From what I can gather, he is primarily a right back, but can play other right side of a back 3 or as a defensive midfielder. He's not spectacular, but solid and reliable. Never an 8 but never a 4. That's how he's been labelled.
wellgirl
Is it wrong that I felt sorry for him in his suntan standing in the pouring rain at Fir Park? Memories of standing in minus temperatures at the calender signing springs to mind. 😂 I hope he does well.
Spiderpig
It seems we can expect more new players incoming soon. Kettlewell expects signing announcements - https://www.bbc.com/sport/articles/cekk5jgm44do

robsterwood
Announcing Jorge Daniel Hernández Govea also known as El Burrito, a Mexican professional footballer who plays as a defensive midfielder for Liga MX club Querétaro. And Gbolahan Pepperoni. Will add some spice to attack. Will enable sponsorship deal
Kmcalpin
We're a bit short of goalies starting off pre season today. Maybe we have a trialist or someone lined up?

Casagolda on P&B mentioned we're looking at bringing in a keeper with previous experience in Scotland. There's also chat of Siegrist mutualling his contract at Celtic, might be worth an offer. I'd imagine his wages would probably be too high for us and no doubt Hibs or Dundee United would be sniffing about. I wouldn't be surprised if we got landed with Scott Bain tho. I would slightly counter that given he's not played for 2 years, we might be able to offer him what Kelly was on and guarantee him first team football. weeyin
There are plenty of good keepers across the UK that aren't getting a sniff of first team football. Hopefully we can persuade one of them a regular start is better than coaching the U18s. Even if it's just a loan deal (although those don't usually happen until later in the window). I certainly wouldn’t complain if we were able to get him though, he’s a good solid goalkeeper at this level.
wellgirl
Id personally rather try and find a decent keeper that we didn't have to spend Liam Kelly wages on - easier said than done I know.

For me I think Oxborough should get his chance, he probably should have had a run in the team last season when Kelly's form dropped so he deserves a run to show us what he can offer. Yeah - he looked v happy coming through the doors this morning 🤣. I agree but we do need back up and I don't think Connolly has agreed terms yet if I'm right? Not been announced anyway

robsterwood
I would rather we get decent keeper on loan from English championship or prem as has worked before or proven goalie in Scotland. Good at crosses. Commanding. Ox Wil be no 2.

steelboy
Callaghan signed. 1 year deal. Honking. We need a decent player to play beside Miller. We have Davor, Paton, Halliday and Callachan who are all different colours of shite.
