Thats true but, IF he comes this month, I suspect he'll be brought in to beef up the midfield i.e replace Davor.  As its stands we badly need a physical defensive midfielder and a hulking target man, if we want to stick to Ketts' plan but make it

Archie Mair announced loan till end of the season

Might be a bit reactionary but surely games like today highlight the need to improve the squad both now and at end of season.

Ox- Keep, Mair- Too early to say, will also go back to Norwich, Connelly- keep as Bu?

Kaleta- Make permanent if possible, SOD/Koutrombis- Move On

Balmer, Gordon - Keep Blaney- Still not sure on Mcginn- Release too injury prone Casey- I'd probably let move on. Seddon- Keep

Wilson - Keep as BU, Sign a LWB

Davor, Callahan- Move on, Lennon Miller- WIll be sold, Paton, Sparrow-Keep, Halliday- Keep as BU, Andrews- Will go back to Cov, Nicholson - Move on too injury prone. Slattery - offer 2 year deal if he can stay fit too end of season.

Maswanhise- Probably be sold if offer comes in, Vale- Will go back to Blackburn would like to keep if possible. Robinson-Keep, Ebiye- Move on, Watt-Depends on form to end of season, Taveres- Send back to Hibs.

If we are going to persist with this anti-football football then it’s imperative that we use this January window to inject pace and athleticism into the team.

100%

- LWB, probably a Target-Man and a Holding mid

- Try and punt Callahan and Koutrombis, offer Ebiye and Davor out see if anyone will take them

and more physicality. However to achieve that we'll need to shift some bodies out.

Take it we don't rate Connelly? Third in line and then when an opportunity arises, we bring someone else straight into the team. Writing is surely on the wall for him. You wonder why we resigned him.

I was thinking exactly the same thing. He does seem to be on the small side for a Premiership goalie and doesn't seem to have progressed.

Casey apparently signed a pre contract with hearts. There is about 50% of our squad out of contract. I would give kotroumbis a run at right back see how he goes not seen much of him to have an opinion. Sod is horrendous the now and getting slower every week.

If true, that’s no great loss. Casey tries hard and often puts his body on the line, but those attributes are replaceable at this level, and let’s not forget that he didn’t want to be here in the first place.

Casey is dreadful. Hearts are welcome to him...

My Hearts supporting mate doesn't think there's anything in the Casey rumours as it's seemingly just one guy who claims to be in the know who posted in one of the Hearts forums.

They've just signed 2 CB's and have 2 currently  injured so unless they're planning on changing their entire back line it seems a strange signing but then again you never know.

I am going to put it out there and you might think it's bonkers.   The Bair hasn't really been featuring much for Auxerre and only has 1 goal,  is it worth trying to get him on loan?

I think we sold extremely high, and made out like bandits, I would pass.

I would say yes. Bring him home

Bair might struggle in the current team.  Last season 'feed the Bair' was the chant with likes of Gent and Spittal feeding.

For me we need to sort out the creative/feed  part of the team .  I think we've got enough strikers who can put the ball away.

No, we had the once in a career season from Bair, paid nothing for him and Robbed Auxerre of £1.6 million selling him on

McGinn is out for four months, I wonder if we will look to add defensively now.

Thats bad news, but in no way surprising. If there is a silver lining its that we have time in this window to bring in a replacement. Other things being equal, we should do.

Sadly this is likely the end of McGinns career, he'll be 35 this year and understandably has picked up a few injuries in last few seasons.

At this point of the season I'd be looking at young fit loanees from English Prem/Champs league - it's been mutually beneficial over recent seasons.

With McGinn unfortunately now knackered, I imagine Kettlewell will see SOD as cover in the RCB role. However, with Koutroumbis either being shite or broken, another versatile right-sided defender is a must this window to get us to the end of the season.

Seemingly Tavares is also nursing a knock and the Ox is out for 3 months. Seddon out for 8 weeks. Stama also out for several more weeks.

Reinforcements almost certainly required. Goalie, left back and central defender?

It's the worst season for injuries I can ever recall for and thats going back over 60 years.

Hoofball 24/7 just get a target man or men punt it and hope for the best its going to be a shitfest for the rest of the season lets be honest its not going to be pretty.

I really like McGinn but nothing we can do about it however i am more worried about Stams injury record since he has moved to the club more out than in.

SOD needs to get his head in the game cause latley he has been horrible rank rotten and he is going to be captain for rest of the season.

At this stage we need about 4-5 players because our squad is so injury prone dont know who is going to be fit but this could be blessing in disguise cause he might need to chnage it up a bit.
