Well worked goal by Moses. Counts for nowt right enough. But it was decent football.

I suppose ending the season on a defeat will give the Four Posters of The Apocalypse plenty to post about for the next couple of months.

Happy close season everyone. We can now go and post on P&B about how shite Scotland are at the Euros, before coming back here to slag off a manager domestically after a good pre-season of dismissing new signings before they've kicked a ball.

Looking forward to it already 🙂

Today kind of summed up the season.

1) Scored. 2) Didn't play well with no recognisable style of play, bit pedestrian. 3) Defensively hopeless. 4) No home win.

I'm mentioned it before but I will do again.  We conceded in 35 out of 38 league matches. Big, big improvements needed over the the summer, especially defensively.

Thankfully the season is over and we ended up where we belong, mid-lower-level. With a new CEO and potentially an investor or two we might get one or two better players, otherwise next season will be no better. Perhaps a manager who understands outscoring the opposition on the park is more successful than all the talk pre and after each game. Enjoy your summer guys.

The drop off in quality after Miller went off was noticeable. Paton was completely pointless and Nicholson hopefully played his way out any deal we might have offered.

The St Johnstone keeper knew exactly where Bair was going to put the penalty because he's taken the same pen 4 times in a row now. He should try practicing shooting into the other corner over the summer.

correct if anything that should surely convince some that most of that squad need moved on. They will always keep us 9th/10th. SK has a real opportunity to clear the decks and rebuild. My fear is he offers contracts to most of them when he should be showing the door to more than half.

to be fair how can the manager legislate for some of our comedy gold that passes for defending. He cant so he needs to move on the regular culprits. Im relieved that will probably be Mugabis last ever game for us. As big a bomb scare now as he was when he first signed for us. My worry is , if rumours are true, we've recruited Obileye who on the basis of what Ive seen is worse.

If he does, he'll be signing his death warrant at the same time, so let's wait and see how smart he truly is.

I personally don't think that's where we belong. However at Christmas I'd have been more than happy with 9th place

Given the budget cuts 9th is about where we expected for the season.

Think most are in the camp that we don't want a rotating door for mgrs.  SK is a decent man manager and will continue in role.  I think he needs to improve though, both he and the squad need to evolve over the next period.

Like a few have said we need to clear out and be ruthless towards players that simply cost us too many goals too often.

Sounds like an easy job but our perm recruitment has been poor.  For me it's the loan signings + Miller + Bair + Spittal that kept us safe.

Will also be tough to replace likes of Miller & Spittal.

With a new CEO and potential investment I really hope we start seeing a better brand of football. Not expecting total football , for now a team doing simple things well with some hope for the future will be enough.

3 points from 12 against a pish St Johnstone side this season.

I thought the match was gearing up to be an entertaining affair as it went back and forth quite quickly without either keeper being tested. It was a great cross in to be fair from Carey for the opener but it's so frustrating watching everyone ball watching other than the forward. I had that feeling Bair was going to come up short with the penalty, he loves to hit them low to the left and I'm sure that was well researched by his former club. The less said about the second goal the better. They certainly identified Mugabi as a weak link as they kept pinging long balls right to him.

I thought the ref was frustrating again at times, a Bair effort was well blocked in the first half and you would think the goalkeeper and defender celebrating the tackle and with everyone heading into relevant positions was enough to convince him otherwise but no. He also seemed to take an age making his mind up at times denying Bair a great opportunity in the second half like 6 seconds after he won the ball.

I couldn't help but feel the footballing gods were watching over them today, a routine cross early in the game ended up being cleared off our own defender and it took a great save by Kelly to claw it away from the top corner. I'll give them credit for the three blocks on the line from our effort but when Spittal's shot came off the inside of the post and rolled into the keepers arms you just knew it wasn't going to be our day. However Moses goal was nicely taken, just typical it came on the 94th minute. Ross County hit the post twice late on in the game at Dingwall.

TBF I hate travelling up that neck of the woods so hopefully Raith Rovers can do the business but I feel they will come up short.
