Montrose is a nice trip and I think we should do all right in group g for grizzly

It was odds on we'd draw either Raith or Partick but at least its at home. At least we didn't draw Annan, Morton or QoS. Sadly we missed out on a trip to stimulate the ground collectors. A trip to the likes of Brechin, Bonnyrigg, East Kilbride, Peterhead, Buckie, or Kelty would have been nice.

1st seeds are at home to second and fourth seeds if I recall it correctly

Away to Clyde guarantees a large away support,  nice wee local trip.  Be interesting with Edinburgh city as heard a few rumours they could be close to going out the game

Yes  there have indeed been rumours. Did the SPFL ask for guarantees before including them in the draw?

Would have been fun if Clyde still played at Shawfield, but New Douglas Park isn't too exciting.

Decent mix of teams that we'll no doubt play well/struggle against at different periods of our pre-season regime, and then qualify for the next round regardless.

Great chance to progress. Also not travelling too far . Patrick toughest but both teams should be different on the day.

Agreed. As my Dear Old Dad used to say, at Shawfield you could hit a ball in Lanarkshire and score a goal in Glasgow.

Also the site of the great Clyde substitution  urban myth, "Goad! Theyr'e takin' aff Ahern and bringin oan a haddie!"

Partick Th will potentially be tough, especially if we play them away from home but it’s more likely we’ll be at home against them. 
 

Apart from that that’s a group we should be winning.

Love to see him do well for Canada but still important games for Bair and maybe Paton in league cup if he still here then

Always enjoyed my days (end evenings) out Shawfield - fair to say it was unique. The ball boys had a tough gig if it ended up on the track, and behind the goals was a lot of ground to cover.

Yes, the only bad memory for me  was that latterly there seemed to be a lot of greyhound turds lying around Shawfield on match days.  Sad to see the decline of Clyde. Think they should have moved to EK and tried to build up their support from there.

Montrose away on a Tuesday night when the SPFL could quite easily have scheduled the Clyde game for that night instead is a joke. The folk running our game continue to be useless fucking clowns who laugh at us fans.

Oops. Clyde are playing on Wednesday night. My point still stands that they're clowns and never have the interests of fans in their thoughts when scheduling midweek fixtures.
