Stuparevic or Wells would have been more attaching options.

We're already playing with two up front.

Paton is...fine... for now. It's still basically pre-season. As I say above, if he's still a regular pick in this position once all our transfer business is concluded I'll be worried. Until then, it's about bedding in new players, getting everyone up to speed and getting through the group.

Wells or Stuparevic.

Wells is a winger and Stuparevic is a striker (or potential second striker).

Halliday made perfect sense. You might not like the guy, but as a replacement it's fine.

How did you come to that conclusion

Halliday is playing really well, looks like SK knows what he is doing.

We're never going to play Halliday in advanced role in a league match. We'd be a laughing stock.

He should be giving guys who have the potential to play the role a chance in a game like this.

None of the issues from last season have been addressed* we offer little to nothing in an attacking sense, our ball use is terrible and we can’t defend.

*I am aware it’s July and the season hasn’t started ‘properly’ yet

The problems of last season remain regardless of the signings because we’ve got the same manager and approach to games. It’s that simple.

Our defence looks worse than last years and that takes some me beating

Balmer should be on the park. The only person who can’t see that is the one who signed him.
