What a load of tripe. Have to wonder what goes on in Kettlewell’s head. Playing 5 defenders, 2 defensive midfielders, 1 forward-playing midfielder and 2 forwards. No wonder Partick are all over us.

Even set up so defensive we could still (should)have conceded 2 or 3 goals

Poor, poor stuff so far. We came more into it as the half wore on but we’re lucky not to be behind.

Even if we do qualify we will go no further than the last sixteen with this team.

We badly need pace in the wing back areas to push them back and open up space. Wilson is ok but reluctantly takes on his man, and seems to be safety first and play it back. O'donnell is offering nothing. Halliday is being played in a position he can't control things. Wells would have been a better option instead of halliday.

Kettlewell loyality to certain players and reluctance to give the new signings a chance against a team in division down is madness.

Until we get the right players out wide, it's going to be a long season.

BBC match stats make us look better than what I’m seeing

We were sluggish for the first 25-30 minutes but we've basically created all the chances in the game.

Partick had one ball across the box but that's been it from them.

We are a wee bit; unlucky not to have the lead at half time. A penalty shout, hit the bar, some decent saves from their keeper.

We just need to start taking them second half

Yes and that’s the worrying thing. Partick have been able to play through our midfield with relative ease.

Agreed. If Wilson is unable to get to the byline and put decent crosses in he should be no more than a defensive backup. We desperately lack pace on the flanks and without it we'll struggle to create this season.

Regards to the defence. Kettlewell must find a settled combination and play them together consistently. Chopping and changing the centre backs every other week is no good.

Twice in six months we've made Robbie Crawford look like a player. If that's not a sobering thought, I don't know what is...

EDIT Just announced we're putting Wells on for Stuperavic. As poor as Stuperavic has been, the two up front experiment didn't last long...

Halliday just won’t do I’m afraid. He’s too slow, too old and is basically done. If we are relying on him being a regular going into this season then we have big problems.
