Orinoco
Who's doing the medicals on these players we are signing? Also do we have sports/fitness science gurus? The volume of injuries seems to ge getting worse.
El Grew
34 minutes ago, steelboy said: Kettlewell won't be here much longer it's just a shame we've let him waste our money. That was dire, it's hard to see how we're going to score goals never mind win a game. Caldwell was talking about growing the support. It will be shrinking again if we don't start winning games at home. It's also embarrassing that we're charging so much for the worst away supporter facilities in the league. Couldn’t agree more. Once we were clear of the drop at the end of last season he should’ve been thanked, had his contract terminated and we should then have began looking for someone who was capable of trying to raise the bar above the current level of mediocrity. However the club became mired in a power struggle between those who invited and wanted external financial investment and those who wanted nothing to do with it. This dragged on for too long and nobody seemed to be interested in asking if the club had progressed or regressed under the present football management team. I haven’t seen any signs of improvement, even small incremental improvements in the performances under the present manager during his tenure and he seems to have a blinkered approach as to how he wants the team to set-up and play and it has been and still is spectacularly awful. Spiderpig
Should have won today so 2. Points thrown away, RC were dreadful and never looked like scoring. Can't understand taking Ebiye off and bringing on Wells , we were allegedly trying to win the game so an extra striker would have been the better option. There is no width in the team, so that needs to be addressed , but that said we never lost so and are joint top so onwords and upwards. 1

witchfindergeneral
What a dull game, I hate being bored at the football. I backed Ketts all last season but i've got the knives out for him already. Playing for 90 mins to try not to lose and hope we get a flukey goal is no good, only to then show a bit of urgency in injury time. When Blaney came off it was a perfect opportunity to change the shape but nah, lets bring on well known goal threat and creator Paul McGinn. Oh yeah, and also take off a striker for a midfielder. His tactics are baffling at times. Ox was decent enough, did everything asked of him, only real criticism is he's a bit slow distributing the ball. Wilson had his best game so far once he finally got going midway through the first half. It's s shame we were so pish today, good weather and a decent enough crowd yet there's no chance we will get so many through the gates again after being subjected to that nonsense. wellfan
Same shit, different season, on multiple fronts, all because key issues haven’t been addressed from last season and capable management and players haven't been identified to move the club forward. gilmour
Kettlewell bingo 😃 We kept a clean sheet. The players got minutes in their legs We controlled most of the game. We had many opportunities to score We will be better. We need to be more ruthless 😂 triple points for this We will learn from this. A zillion points for this one County were a tough dogged oppoonent Were undefeated with a clean sheet this season
Yodo
After listening to SK on Monday night I don’t see a change of tactics anytime soon . He made a big thing of saying he works hard every day for the club but really when u have no ability there’s only one outcome
joewarkfanclub
Didnt think there was much in the first half football wise, but we had 2 very good chances to their zero. Second half we were the better team and County dug in for their point. Thought we were pretty solid defensively and we resteicted County to one Jordan White header and a free kick which Oxborough saved well. Its clear our biggest problems are in midfield and the disconnect between them and the forwards was very apparent. Think we will have to remain patient until we get some players back fit or more in the door. That said we created more than enough chances to win the game and really should have done so. Thought SOD and Wilson both had decent games, despite neither having the real pace needed to perform the role effectively. Really impressed with Liam Gordon. He appears to be the centre half we have been looking for
stv
1 hour ago, wellon said: I didn't think sod was as bad as is being made out. I've seen him a lit worse Sk has signed 3 full backs? So obviously has plans for these positions although young Wilson did himself no harm today He can’t cross in a decent ball with any concistancey . Once he gets towards the 18 yrd line more oftren than not it’s backwards or a wee pass inside. Oh for the days when a wide man ,beat the first defender and just ran towards the line and crossed it over. Other parts of his game are passable. Wilson looked enthusiastic. Likes to Pat himself on the back . I don't think he could handle direct criticism. I also thought he was quite ignorant when Brian Caldwell was speaking by reading a sheet of paper on the table next to him.
FirParkCornerExile
2 hours ago, Ya Bezzer! said: People will exaggerate how bad we were because we didn't score and didn't win but I didn't think the performance was that bad. It was a game we should have won fairly easily. We've created 5 or 6 decent chances to score today and I've seen plenty Motherwell matches were we didn't create any or only 1 or 2. The problem was we didn't take the chances we made. We are basically playing three holding midfielders in a 5-3-2 with one inexperienced full back and O'Donnell who gives you absolutely nothing up the other side. Maybe O'Donnell works in a back four but in a back 5 he's not capable of the role. Lennon Miller had a poor match today and the other guys are a couple of traffic cones. We need full backs to get forward and two out the three midfielders to get into the box but the guys in those roles don't have the tools for the job. Correct and an absolute over reaction from the fans today. Sure there is a lot to improve but I've seen us play a lot worse than that today. Thought Wilson had a good game. Oxborough coming off his line for cross balls was good to see. Halliday doesn't have it for me nor does Blaney. Robinson lacks composure but puts in a power of work. Every set piece ball into their area was poor as it was last season. I do wonder how this is so difficult to remedy. As I said a lot to improve on but not the worst we will play this season. 2
twistandshout1983
Was really hoping for 3 points today very dull game that we should have won, better than the Thistle game but not too much Now I see we have a closed door game with Everton on Tuesday before playing the Rainjurs Definetly need to improve

If Kelly was as still here, rooted to his line, we would have lost a couple of goals from their punts into the area plus a couple of through balls where Ox was well positioned to come out and collect/clear. Very much so. With SK's preferred system you need one big physical striker up front (plus others of course) and we haven't signed one. We knew months ago that Bair might move on. Despite knowing months ago that Spittal was leaving we haven't replaced him.
Kmcalpin
I felt very sorry for Lennon Miller today. Despite me being 15 minutes late, I saw him suffer 3 very bad tackles before half time. He simply looked intimidated and should have been hooked at half time for his own good.

It's a carry over from the cup games and last season. 5 home wins in the league last season. 2 good wins all the way back in August 23 and since then we've beat a terrible Livi team twice and gubbed County on a night they were clearly trying to get the manager sacked. Kettlewell is completely incapable of sending out a team to win a game at home. Even the two good wins last season against Hibs and Killie we were very poor until we made subs. It's a horrendous record.

It's chronic negativity. Don't expect any suggestion of who we should replace the manager with or what players we should sign because you will be simply ghosted. We weren't even that bad today. Created numerous chances although we didn't take them. Clean sheet with the defence and goalkeeper looking solid and largely untroubled all afternoon. We've just kicked off the season ffs. Fine margins and we've won today by 2 or 3. 1
