Poor stuff against a poor Rangers side. It’s hard to see where a win is going to come from.

I'm not so sure , you are always going to have little possession away to Rangers even with better players than we have now.  Lennon Miller should have scored and Butland brought off a great save. I think we have played a lot worse against Rangers over the years. I'm not too despondent. The big tell will be the Kilmarnock game because what I've see of them they are shite. McInnes will play a defensive formation so we will see if we create the chances we need.

He went 15 games without a win. Has only won 3 of his last 18 home league games. Terrible results in the cups.

He's put together a squad who are comically bad. He's on his final chance and there's nothing suggesting we will win a game any time soon.

No one can seriously argue against any of that.

Regardless of budget restrictions his recruitment policy has been absolutely horrific and serious questions need asked about why he has signed several of the players he has.

Tough watch as expected given the selection issues.

Thought we dug in well for the most part.

Couldnt really see the first goal. Second is a great finish but Wilson is caught wrong side and neither he or Seddon get close enough to put any pressure on the ball. Very disappointing having got back into it.

Second half was a bit better. Got up the pitch more without creating too many clear cut chances.

Looked like a really good save by Butland from Robinsons shot.

AVS looked more of a threat than Robinson before he had to go off which is frustrating as it looked like some sort of muscle injury when he went down, so could be out for a few weeks.

We reallly need some bodies in the door. Itherwise its going to be a geim few weeks.

But we’ve not seen any better in the LCGs games or against Ross County last week. We lack a goal scoring threat and have next to nothing in the middle of the park.

I can’t see any scenario where we beat Kilmarnock in the Cup next week. They’re coming off a European game and fatigue might be a factor but I don’t see anything in our team that can do them any damage. As I said I can see a low scoring draw followed by a penalty loss.

Not the point you made though.

I agree that life for SK looks pretty tricky right now. But as you said, he doesnt care what you or I think.

Thats only a problem for one if us.

St Mirren didnt get out their league cup group last season. St Mirren fans were wanting Robinson punted and look at the season the had. Far too early to assuming our season will be defined how we played in the league cup groups. As I said the real tell will be the Kilmarnock game and they are shite so if we struggle against them that might be more of an indication.

One scenario is where we score more goals than them.

At this stage it's difficult to tell how good they are, but I expected to see more from them against Celtic.

Like every season since the early League Cup groups began, you don't get an idea of how good or bad teams are until a few weeks after the window closes (i.e. around mid-September).

Kettlewell saying it might be something serious with the Australian.

If he's seriously injured he'll no doubt want to go home for a while.

“Speedy……..”

ach that’s wearing thin already.

Something is seriously wrong at Fir Park.

Poor first half display , much better second half

I thought at half time a 4-1 or 5-1 was on the cards

Very tough games the next two weekends,  a must win against Killie for me and no excuses .

Need to be getting further in cup competitions to be generating not just more revenue but excitement for the paying public

We're going to need all the additional revenue we can get as we're going to have to blow our budget on signing additional players to cover the numerous longterm injured players as well as the unfilled gaps in the squad.

Aye the manager should have been sacked last season

He should have been, no arguments there. I like SK and want to get behind him as he talks a good game and seems a good guy, but he’s just not delivering for us. His recruitment has been/is awful and that is what is choking us right now. That we have signed so many injury prone players over his tenure that have (not surprisingly) ended up injured long term and players who have picked up long term injuries in training alone has to sound alarm bells.

And that’s before you start on his lineups and tactics.

Bonkers he starts if not ready. We have paid big money and he could be great signing but out for a while leaves us struggling.  Stuparevic,  koutrombis also seem to have been brought in far too quickly

It’s kinda like buying your kid loads of expensive new toys which they then break immediately….

Seriously, questions *need* asked of the sports science and physio team, “no team in world football is as stricken by injuries as us” (that’s a direct quote from Kettlewell post match)

If we signed the Knight from Monty Python and the Holy Grail (it's just a flesh wound), Kettlewell would throw him on as a sub as he would think he was match fit 🤪🤪

Aye the fuckers burn their flares then drop the still burning remnants at their arse expecting everyone else to extinguish them. 2 beside us set alight cup holders under the seats and I had to move to get out the road of the dripping hot sparks from the knob end holding the flares in the row behind me to avoid my clothes being burned .
