1-1 then beat on penalties.

Misery, Misery, Misery

You think we'll get that far?

You'd hope that Killie's fixture schedule will benefit us but who knows. As things stand we'll do well to take it to penalties. Midifled and attack are decimated with injuries and look completely toothless and lightweight. Defensive midfield looks lightweight and they and the defence look disorganised.

Still we look to have a decent keeper now.

We can but hope.

Kilmarnock aren’t any great shakes themselves. They are currently 0-2 down against St.Johnstone at home and have a European game on Thursday night. I can see us running them close and drawing with them but ultimately losing on penalties to them.

Inside info, former work colleague a killie fan was there today and said some fans calling for mcinnes to go!!, bonkers

I watched their game today , they are truly woeful. Truth be told Id rather face them when they havent been quite so dreadful. I've seen this script more times than I care to remember. Team with fuck all wins , playing shite , turn up at Fir park and we give the customary assist.

We have had 30 shots at goal in the last 3 games. No goals

So despite us imo not looking to hot, we've created enough opportunities.....

I think 0-2 but I hope I'm wrong...

The tactic has to be shoot on sight from the midfielders for this one. Creating opportunities and converting them appears to be a real problem area for us - Robinson and Moses best opportunities are probably rebounds

I like Robinson and I think he'll come good for us. He appears to have what it takes to hold up the ball and bring others into play, but we don't have those others yet. He's also likely to improve once/if he gets his first goal. I hope. On the other hand, I'm not completely sold on Moses, but he has his goals already and appears to be a penalty box chaos striker. Along with Ferrie, they'll all do as 2/3/4 choice strikers, but we need Stamatelopoulos to get fit and live up to his billed expectation of being our first choice goalscoring striker. However, if Stama is out for the foreseeable, Kettlewell should be on his last warning.

😂 Pretty sure he's cup tied, or you could put money on it..

I posted the other day that there was no scenario where I could see us winning this tie. Well there’s one. We actually play well, win the tie in 90 minutes reasonably comfortably, bring on Tony Watt as an 88th minute sub and are subsequently disqualified for fielding an ineligible player.

This was a rule from a few years ago so I doubt it has changed. I was convinced you were able to register new players after the group stage even if they had played for another Scottish side.

"No Club or club shall Play, or list as a named substitute, any Player or player who, in the
same Season, has already played in a Match by entering the field of play whether in the
starting eleven or by being used as a substitute by another Club or club in the
Competition."

I believe that group stages don't count, so he's eligible to play.

I seen someone had posted an extended version of the player eligibility rules on P & B which confirms he can play in the game. That's most welcome.
