SteelmaninOZ
Back to the league and this time against the buddies. Can we keep the momentum going? Should have a big crowd for this one. COYW
steelboy
I see Vale is out for a 'lengthy period' with a calf injury. SOD won't be playing either, hopefully there's nothing broken but it definitely wasn't a good idea to play on and take that throw in. We should have taken more points off St Mirren last season so we owe them one here. Robinson will have been rubbing his hands watching some of our first half play so we will need to improve from kick off over the last few games. Cameron_Mcd
It's been too long since we've beaten this mob, SOD potentially being out is a shame considering his impressive start to the season but Kaleta has looked competent enough in his cameo's. Ya Bezzer!
I think Olusanya will be suspended so that's good cos I've always been impressed by him when I've seen St. Mirren and he's on a good run of form. Of course we'll be up against three former strikers rather than just one next time......

weeyin
I hear the Motherwell Former Players Club has moved its office to Paisley.

I must have dreamed he got sent off last week! 🤣 EDIT - OK, he came off injured against Kilmarnock so that must have transformed into a suspension in my head. Haha, he has just been booked there apparently, as it goes. Here's hoping there's a second.
grizzlyg
SOD missing disappointing as I like the guy but kaleta looked good last night, very direct and put in some great crosses. Let's build the momentum after last night....COYW

joewarkfanclub
This will be a good test of where we are at this season. St Mirren continue to impress, but are clearly better at home than away. Hopefully we get a bump in the crowd after Friday night. Lets keep the feelgood train on the tracks!
weeyin
Just keep Stamatelopoulos away from Dunne.
thewelllfan
Team v St Mirren for me would be Oxborough Mcginn Gordon Casey Kaleta Davor Miller Wilson Watt Robinson Maswanhise Would love to start Moses but we don't have a good 10 to allow us to play a 2 up front imo

grizzlyg
Olusanya suspended so they will just bring in tagliatelle or carbonara 😜😜 Doing my cheerleader role again but I hope we get a good crowd and generate another incredible atmosphere like Friday night. All 3 stands provided great support and just shows that a positive attitude has such an impact on the team. COYW

StAndrew7
It'll definitely be interesting to see who Ketts starts. I'm not convinced Watt is a starter just yet, same with Stama and Tavares. Robinson just scored his first goal, so you can't really drop him from the starting 11. Maswanhise wasn't as effective against United but he didn't have a lot of space or time on the ball because they realised he was a main threat of ours. I can't see him dropping either Davor or Halliday; they're starting to form a solid partnership which is giving Miller freedom to be creative. It's really a question of if SODs is fit enough; I can see the same team from Friday starting with Kaleta in if SODs is struggling. He wasn't listed as doubtful, so he might be OK. I feel we should be getting 70 out of him his work rate is brilliant and keeps hold of the ball well while providing a threat in behind and in the air

He has been blowing out his arse pretty much every game he has played so far. He is definitely getting fitter and is in much better shape than when he arrived. But whether he has 70 mins in him remains to be seen. That said, I agree we need to start him at some point and see what he has in him. If we need to take him off at half time, so be it. StAndrew7
Fitness update from Ketts saying that SOD's injury isn't as bad as feared but he's not trained this week. He's to be assessed before the game. Johnny K is back in full contact, as is Blaney. Paton a few weeks away from full contact, Callachan (mind him?) has his brace off and both Nicholson and Slatts are making good progress. I doubt we'll see any of them other than SODs at the weekend, right enough. Maybe a spot on the bench for JK but I doubt it if we've got cover that's fitter. David
We're not in a position where we need to rush anyone back, thankfully. We've come this far, so I would prefer we eased the injured lads back in gradually and did our utmost to avoid any relapses or further issues. I would be quite content with our starting lineup from Friday, replacing O'Donnell with Kaleta.
