SteelmaninOZ
Never liked the two weeks break can upset the rhythm of the team but I reckon we will win this. COYW
joewarkfanclub
I certainly prefer going into it off a run of wins than defeats! 😆😆😆 That and its another 2 weeks closer to players returning to fitness and getting the likes of Watt up to speed! I think we are in a good place.
texanwellfan
Is there an injury list somewhere with target return dates? I forget who we are waiting on. I’d like to see us go ahead and sign Watt in the January window. I’d also like to see what we can do to extend contracts for Wilson, Miller and Ox to help keep them playing here as long as possible and also to ensure we get decent money for them when they inevitably move on.

We have the luxury of ignoring all bids in January and opening a bidding war next summer when he still has a year left.

FirParkCornerExile
This is a real barometer game for me. Historically rising expectations is difficult for us to handle and often we fail. Most Motherwell fans will go into this game expecting us to win. If we can I'll maybe be convinced the current good form isnt just a flash in the pan blip this season.
Cameron_Mcd
More concerned about playing an out of form Dundee than what I have been at pretty much any other game this season, just feels like a banana skin we're bound to lose 1-0.
wunderwell
I think it's about the changes that he won't make but I'd like to see Sparrow on for Halliday/Zdrakovski Kaleta on for O'Donnell Watt on for Robinson I'd be really happy with that team. As an important aside This is the first time he has to cut a first team player from the bench with Casey returning. Someone is going to be unhappy. Throughthelaces
Glad we’re back to real football this weekend can’t stand international breaks but hopefully another week of training and rest has us better and hopefully another 3 points here before we go on to give Brendan and his boys a lesson next week. thewelllfan
My team v Dundee this weekend would be Ox Mcginn Gordon Balmer SOD Miller Davor Halliday Wilson Stam Moses Got to make sure we win the battle in midfield or they'll run all over us. Casey for Balmer, as Kettlewell isn’t going to drop him just yet. It would be a shame for Balmer but it’s a good problem to have. And Robinson for Moses, as he may be able to upset his former team. Moses is also a great impact sub.
Kmcalpin
Will Ap Stam have recovered enough from his international duties to play a significant role?

True, but you have to wonder if Watt is fit enough to start yet since he’s taken on the Farmer Boggis persona.

He's not played a single minute yet that I can see; I appreciate the travel will knacker him when he heads home later today/tomorrow, though. If he doesn't play at all I wouldn't be surprised to see him start and get 60 minutes or so. Also, he scored last game; I think he has to start as it'll help him build confidence and hopefully get another on Saturday. 1 hour ago, wellfan said: True, but you have to wonder if Watt is fit enough to start yet since he’s taken on the Farmer Boggis persona. You'd like to hope he's been on a decent fitness regime for the last two weeks so he may well be. Still a nice option to have come on with 20/30 minutes to go as well, similar to Moses. Cause some chaos/general shithousery. I think Kettlewell will go back to Casey; he only really drops players when he absolutely has to which is one of my biggest complaints about him, although a settled XI obviously breeds familiarity and confidence. As you say, it's a shame for Balmer as I don't think he did anything wrong against Hibs, particularly considering his throw in won us the game. Longer term, I do think Balmer is going to be an upgrade on Casey; I think his ceiling is far higher in terms of ability passing, reading the game etc. from what I've seen. He's also not prone to the brainfarts Casey can have. Like, I think Casey is a great player for our level; reminds me of Chico Dunne that way. I don't think he'll get much higher than that (see him pissing off looking for better and realising he couldn't get it) but I can see Balmer getting his chance and being sold for a decent wedge to a Championship side next year or the year after, a bit like Brédéric was. Chanzeypopz
Glad we are playing them now and not at the start of the season. They have fairly fell off a bit when they sold Mccowan 🙄

His throw ins cannot be underestimated. Basically anywhere 25 yards up from goalline as a throw in is equivalent to a corner. So a huge asset. He can throw the ball to the back post so it really is a game changer as has been proven already .
steelboy
McGinn is the newest injury. A "good period of time" according to Kettlewell. I quite like the look of a Balmer, Gordon, Casey back three.
