Big Stall
He didnt look as chunky at the weekend as he was against Hearts. Still needs to shift a fair bit but hopefully tracking in the right direction. Im still mystified as to why we brought him back & so far have yet to see anything encouraging

I really hope we get in their faces early on and not allow any time on the ball. Also no offence to Robinson but 1 goal in 14 games isn't good enough and he needs benched and let's start Maswanhise for pace. Ps. In other news......a factory worker died after falling into a VAT of coffee, paramedics said he didn't suffer......it was instant 🤪🤪🤪 Keep going strong 1

texanwellfan
For me, when we pick up any points off them, it just adds to the enjoyment to hear them whine about how we should play against them and roll over or just play wide open at the back. I mean how dare we take any points off them.

Rodgers, Celtic and their fans were absolutely insufferable during that trilogy in late 2017. Two soft penalties and they couldn’t bring themselves to admit they got lucky with them and the smugness and self satisfaction was off the scale. It won’t happen on Sunday but it would be fucking magic if we finally got a win against them and send their hoardes home angry and have that blobfished face false prick of a manager shaking his head in disappointment during his post match sermon.

IIRC, we were about to inflict a rare (or was it first?) defeat on Celtic that season only for McGregor to artfully con the ref into giving a penalty: gutted was I and many others. Rodgers' deflection because Burrows was showing footage of the incident on his laptop to the press was typical of Mr Sanctimonious Smug. No wonder Darren Farley's impression of him is so popular. It would have been their first domestic defeat in 18 months, or pretty close to that. McGregor’s swan dive after a nothing challenge from Andy Rose got them the penalty which Scott Sinclair (who had dived to get the penalty in the League Cup Final and got Kipre sent off) scored from. Rodgers got on his high horse about Burrows showing footage of the penalty award on his laptop and went into full condescending mode.

Motherwellfc1991
Just maybe but I very much doubt it Stuart Kettlewell will realise that everything Celtic does from the back goes through Callum McGregor and he might ask one of ours players to stay close to him to stop him having so much space and get in his face or better still he might get someone to man mark him. Given he is likely to start miller as our furthest forward midfielder then it won’t work and neither will Andy Halliday due to a lack of pace and sharpness - actually shows you how weak we are in the middle of the park McGrgeor has bossed and dictated everything for as long now, can we not actually try and challenge that tomorrow 1

Needs rattled right away as he thinks he can get away with anything. Don't know who would do that right enough.

Prime example is Modric for Croatia. We’ve played them a couple of times recently and we just let him roam free. I think Davor could probably do a good job on McGregor. Doesn’t take skill, just terrier like determination and a focus on being right in McGregors face, wherever he goes. Give Davor that role and slide Miller back. He could probs still do the job.
twistandshout1983
Really hoping we give this mob a game tomorrow, anyone on Motherwell’s Facebook page will have seen videos of the 2-1 and 3-1 victories in 2013. A certain Simon Ramsden also been commenting on them . He clearly enjoyed those games Hard to believe we haven’t beaten them at Fir Park for so long

weeyin
A reminder to all our US based fans watching the game on MFC TV (or Paramount+ if you subscribe). The UK puts their clocks back tonight, a week before we do. So the game kicks off for us at 11am Eastern.

Got to get right into them from the first minute. i know its risky but i think personally we should press as high as possible up the field and dont give them a minutes peace. If we just sit back and let them come onto us then its going to be a very long 90 mins. None of this tippy tappy side to side weve been doing lately. Keep the ball on the deck and keep moving it forward....when we lose the ball, we backtrack and cover.. 100% effort by every man required

weeyin
As SK said, you can "have a go" at different points in the game, but if try that for 90 minutes they have players that will destroy you given too much space. Given we've drawn twice and lost narrowly to very late goals in others, SK will undoubtedly be sticking to the same tactics on Sunday.
