That's fair enough but that single episode was him at his clumsy worst

He stopped a certain goal after others fell asleep. And a headed clearance earlier saved another goal. Far from our worst defender today but let's just focus on any fault we can home in on.

Weak defending and dogshit tactics cost us today.

We need a big performance away to Dundee Utd now, otherwise we’re going into the semi-final on a complete downward spiral.

The binary mood swings of the modern football fan continue to deliver.

Days like today are a bit of a free hit.  We shouldn't expect anything and when we don't get anything it doesn't mean we're suddenly a poor team.

We needed to be at our best, Celtic at their worst and a bit of luck.  None of which came true.

Gordon sending off is something that could hurt over coming weeks.

Feels like we turn up to these games with the thought that anything under a 5-0 defeat is acceptable...its grim as fuck

The lack of midfield options and quality up front killed us today. Our poor transfer business has really crippled us going forward. Other than Miller we have absolutely nothing. Robinson's cameo today was criminal.

I said earlier in the thread that I didn't see it with Balmer and he cost us today. If Mugabi was making the kind of errors we' ve seen in the past few games people would be cracking up.

Kaleta was the main positive today. Miller should have scored his chances but I actually thought Stama could have turned and finished it himself.

100%.

Halliday and SOD just want to get through the game without getting called out on Sportscene and they know their mate in the dugout will pick them in the next game regardless of the shite they serve up.

Our midfield continues to be our big problem. Could be easily solved by playing Miller in his natural position. He’s the best talent we’ve had at Fir Park.

Thought Kaleta, Sparrow and Ap Stam done well. The latter was really missed when Fat Tony and Robinson came on and had a competition to see who could do the least amount of work possible.

A day to forget.

Pretty much as expected. Well beaten by a much stronger side and no complaints.

Had either of Millers efforts which hit the post early on gone in then we might have had a foothold and a chance but they didn’t and as soon as Celtic scored that was that.

It’s a shite state of affairs but Celtic are just on a different level to every other side in Scotland and the only chance you have against them is if the breaks go your way and when you hit the woodwork twice in the first half at 0-0 then you’re not getting those breaks and you’re not going to get anything.

All that said we have some serious deadweight in our squad in Halliday, SO’D and Robinson and this needs to be addressed if we are to make any progress.

Fuck sake, watch what you're saying about SOD...some would have you believe that he's having some sort of renaissance this season.

Halliday is a total passenger

Good first 20 minutes, we should have taken the lead but we didn't and looked burst afterwards sitting way too deep.

Our strikers were 35 yards from our goal line and Celtic's centre halves were sitting 10 yards in our half.

You just can't play like that against Celtic as their players will always be better at one-twos, making little triangles, passing, winning the ball and finding space in tight situations.  It's only a matter of time.  You actually need to play a more expansive type of football and we didn't, at least after those first 20 minutes.

First two Celtic goals came from us back pedalling far too much when we should have defended much higher up the pitch.

At 2-0 it was game over and basically a training match.

I assume as it went to VAR it was a red card but I didn't see anything in it from where I was.

Overall a match were Celtic's overall quality, at least in a Scottish context, was clear.  With the exception of Lennon Miller none of our players get close to theirs but I still would like to see a more positive attitude in general.

When we are on the ball we should be seeing multiple players automatically making runs into the box and it's like maybe one will go, or maybe not.

I understand that physically, mentally, technically we don't have top level players but I'd still like to see more attacking intent.

Defences are poor in this league, that's including Celtic's, and if you can get that right you'll carry a big threat.

Unfortunately we aren't and it's mostly tactically and systemic rather than the actual players.

Kettlewell, Robinson, McInnes, Gray and Goodwin are all absolute dinosaurs who are playing the percentages that if they keep games tight and play nice with the media they will keep their jobs.

The league would be far better without any of them.

This, Its actually scary just how much that club is worth in comparison to ours.

Out of the Brendan Rodgers book of excuses when his team get pumped in Europe. Welcome to our world Brendan!! In our case and in the case of every other non old firm club, its so apt
