Aye the jury is still out but it's not looking great on the evidence.

We seemed to have paid good money to sign a guy from a weaker league with no idea how to use him. I get the impression that we believe whatever agents tell us about players we are signing from abroad. Ross McCormack came back from Australia in horrific condition and we still signed him.

I think Kettlewell overcomplicates things also. My opinion is Stama is more effective with a strike partner. I am not sure what formation the Newcastle jets played but if 2 up tip then he is having to adjust to new style.

Let's see how it pans out, hopefully positively

If you look at who starts for the Australian national team in defence then it's obvious he was playing against trash in the A League.

Had a quick look on Transfermarkt at last season and the majority of games he scored in he played with a partner in either a 4-4-2 or 4-2-4. On the odd occasion he played (and scored) as a lone striker in a 4-2-3-1.

All formations which are set up to provide a striker with more support than we've managed to provide him with so far, I'd say.

He's been ineffective apart from one set piece move. He's got a decent awareness compared to Robinson but I haven't seen any attributes that suggest he's going to be a regular goal scorer never mind justify his price tag.

He's quite a small guy, no pace and hasn't shown any sort of skill. He might be a good finisher but will he get chances in this league?

This comment shows me you couldn't spot a player if he smacked you in the face.
On even a few showing it is clear to me he has the second most quality in the team behind Lennon.
Mighty glad we have signed this player as he is streets above our other strikers.

It's not looking great on the evidence. You don't look great on the evidence of your posts.

Ineffective? At what?

He is light years ahead of Robinson at what we ask our strikers to do.

He has good positional awareness, good first touch, wins his fair share of headers for a small guy (he is 6ft) brings other players into play, scored a very good goal at Easter Road, all in a stop start season where he has been injured, moved his family over here from the other side of the world.

If you cant see a player in him I really do wonder what you expect for £300k!

Points are always welcome, but its game 10 of a 38 game season, it's not that important.

its important in the sense we don't want to get into the same kind of spiral we hit at this time last year and thats more down to keeping confidence up. However you are correct in terms of points / position its nothing big.

Going into the semi-final following 3 defeats on the bounce won’t be helpful, so that’s why I think tonight is a must-not-lose game.

Ok I’ve not been paying attention. Who a Tawanda? Has he played previously?

His surname is Maswanhise. I had to look that up to make sure I spelt that correctly. Easier to just spell his first name.

He’s played about five games so far this season.

Ok didn’t realize his name was Tawanda. I’m familiar with him, on loan from Leicester
