Looking at that starting line up. If you want our isolated striker to run about until we bring on others to help up front. You start with Robinson and bring AP on later.  We created nothing for AP to attack.

Its impossible to tell how good he is. We're hanging him out to dry and not playing him to his strengths.

Hanging him out to dry, bang on, any decent striker would struggle, really do feel for him, it's a thankless job

I’m pretty much resigned to us producing  performances like that now and again but it doesn’t make it any easier to take when it happens. So that’s about 2 in 12 and if we can keep it at that ratio or better we should still do pretty well. Need to bounce back against Hibs next week. Probably not happening but I’d be looking for a more aggressive line up from the start. I’d replace Halliday whose been more invisible than bad.

I know it doesn't tell the whole story but the clips of stama when he signed showed he's very much a penalty box striker,he scored a number of goals for his previous club from crosses into the box but yet we're playing him to run about doing the donkey work up against big centre half's,we have obviously scouted him, looked at various video clips and used all that data analysis but like you say we're hanging him out to dry, considering we paid a pretty good fee by our standards to sign him, questions should be asked of how he's being used.look at his goal at easter road,it was a well worked move into the box and he scores.we really do seem to make things more complicated at times than it needs to be.

He must be wondering why the fuck signed for us. If we keep doing this to him I can see him asking to cancel his contract. We are doing nothing to help him enhance his reputation.

I honestly think if we went with Stam and a partner up front he would bang them in for fun sadly he is going to be on the first flight out of Glasgow come January and i dont blame him either.

The use of Stam is some next level shit and we spunked a load of money for pleasure of it aswell its been an absoulote waste of time.

I dont blame the player as you could put any player in that postion and Kettlewell has no idea how to use it properly i think he tells Robinson or Stam just run about thats it.

The main positive from today is that at least we're not Hibs.

I'm not sure we can keep blaming Kettlewell for Stama, though. I'm in no rush to judge him, but I'm also in no rush to apply the blame to SK. It was afterall SK that quickly changed our formation that led to KVV's record breaking tally, and it was SK that developed Bair.

I will, however, blame SK for not figuring out how to get any urgency out of our players after an international break.

Great post. Stama needs to play off a big target man as part of a front 2. Playing as a lone striker just isn't his game. Surely the management must see that?

Shooting on target would help too.
