Same situation last season (Storm Gerrit 27 December?), the Authorities insisted a game at Aberdeen go ahead regardless of road conditions........until travelling 'Well fans shamed them by posting photos online showing flooding on the exact roads fans were advised to travel. The game was then postponed . That was after both Clubs earlier agreed that for safety reasons the game should be cancelled, only to be ignored. Pretty sure that was the day Ross County announced they would not travel in similar conditions to play Rangers in Glasgow.

Bottom line, Authorities don't care as fans do not matter.

Aye the final inspection if games off bit late for the travelling fans it’s all right for the home fans as they are not travelling to far to be disrupted

I travel up and down the A9 a lot and if these weather reports are accurate then it’s absolute insanity that they are allowing this game to go ahead.

Don’t go. I have been caught in blizzards up on the Drumochter Pass and it can go from perfect road conditions to lethal in minutes.

I’m on the A9 near Dunkeld on a bus right now. Everything is moving but slowly, although my advice to others would be turn back and go home.

Fair play to you mate for making the journey, safe travels to you and the rest of our fans on the roads today.

Not sure what to make of this. Is it ok to travel to the game, just not on the A9?

This implies that we asked for the game to be postponed but either Ross County or the SPFL refused. The safety of our travelling fans is obviously unimportant to some party.

Hopefully those who bought a ticket beforehand but can't make it will be eligible for a refund. If the game does go ahead, County should offer our travelling fans a free pie and bovril.

Just hope our travelling fans get there and back safely.

Yeah I agree, a bit of an ambiguous message and quite late in the day seeing as it's a 3-4 hour drive. Could have put something out to supporters yesterday based on the weather warnings. Safe journey to anybody making the trip

What’s the point of undersoil heating if you’re going to cancel games because 300 - 500 fans can’t - or shouldn’t - travel up?

If the parks playable then it should go ahead.

The cost to RC and Motherwell to rearrange to midweek and the reduction in fans would be stupid - I’d be raging if we had to cancel because a couple of hundred RC fans couldn’t make it down here.

That said I hope everyone is safe.

Its a shabby callous way to treat fans, given that they now have to pay in advance - no PATG.  Clubs should be doing all they can to attract more fans to games.  It just turns folk off.

You're right about cost externalisation. Safety doesn't come into it.

Think it comes down to personal choice. If someone wants to travel up the A9 despite the weather warnings then its their choice.

I made the decision not to travel last night as I know only too well having travelled up and down it regularly for 20 years, the conditions on the A9 can be horrendous in the snow and can worsen at the drop of a hat.

Kudos to those who took the chance and I hope they all make it home safely with a win under their belts.

Sorry but I’d argue that if it’s postponed ticket refunds would be available to anyone who wanted it.
I understand that some people may have bought tickets before we knew about the weather and that’s where I’d like to see both clubs come to some agreement regarding refunds if the tickets are not used.

Made it to Dingwall with an hour to spare. Fair weather here.
